2.5 update

    Because there always seems to be questions about when the 2.5 update is coming to gamez, I thought I'd give you a bit of heads up about what is happening on retail (see bottom).

    the PTS (public test server) is opening the the 2.5 patch on May 12th, and you can expect the update to be transferred to the normal servers ~2-4 weeks after coming out on the PTS. Judging on past history, it takes at least 4 weeks for gamez to update their server after a big retail update.

    I wouldn't expect the 2.5 update here for at least 2 months (although probably longer).

    From the official NA aion website:
    2.5 Update Patch on PTS

    Our 2.5 update is finally heading to a PTS server near you! We have already closed the PTS server on April 20, 2011 to apply the 2.5 update. The server will remain unavailable for internal testing until May 5, 2011, when players will be able to patch their PTS client. The PTS server will remain closed for game play until May 12, 2011.

    nah, I just keep a close eye on retail because I have a lot of friends that still play there.

    I'd love to see that too. All I'm trying to say is that 2.5 needs to come out on retail before it comes out here, and it looks like an early june release on retail. So even if they can update gamez instantly with 2.5 we won't see it until june. The 2.0 update was released here over a month after retail, so that part is speculation.

    about the 2.5 update

    since the retail managers said that the 2.5 update is this coming may 25, will the gamez aion will update too? o_O just askin. hope i get :tongue:some positive replies on you guys. ^.~
