sneezing is a reflex, ****ing everything that moves while you KNOW you got HIV and not warning them is not just a crime, but the guy who would do it should be fried imho.

OT: wikipedia is not a credible source of information. In Thesis and research/studies wikipedia is not an acceptable source.

    @fever

Dude if you talk about HIV alone then it's disease literally but the "means of transmission" specially through intentional acts of spreading the virus is a crime.

you are actually trying to justify the intentional transmission of one of the deadliest viruses there is?
fine..by your rationality i can just go to Africa, buy a kid who was smallpox and let him wonder around some major city..it's a deadly disease neither the boy or me can be blamed for it, we should blame god(?)

I m not trying to justify it that s ridiculous. Never said anything like that. But criminalising the disease is not a sollution.
If it was i got a better one. We enforce HIV tests globally we shot all HIV positive, virus is gone the next day...

Criminalising HIV transmition means fewer and fewer will take the test and more and more will hide they r HIV positive which makes the virus even more dangerous when it s so easy to avoid

Furthermore discouraging ppl to make the tests because of general hysteria significally limits their lifespan if they r positive because the disease must be dealt in an early stage

there must be something seriously wrong with you if you don't see what's wrong with someone intentionally transmitting a deadly disease to someone.
how about terrorists using a biological weapons, that's ok right?..-_-
that's the same thing only on a different scale.

Most certainly not!!! I m not afraid of HIV. I can protect myself from it

Saying that s it s a crime only if the carrier is aware is not correct either for 2 reasons

1)If someone is convicted in a court of law for purposely transmiting the virus through sexual intercourse that can lead to also unaware transmition criminalization

2)as i said many times people will not take tests because if they know it they r murderers if they not they are inocent according to everyone s here logic

how can u judge if it s intentional or not? a person can be aware of hiv and still not use condom or tell partner because of whatever reasons.

I totally agree with Autumn. If your passing on a disease that can kill someone, it's pretty much the same as murdering someone. Therefore i think it is a crime :p

Your logic actually doesn't make sense, you keep making up fallacies. First you put up a poll for people to choose and then you contradict it. Second as your title says "Transmition of the HIV is a crime?" Most people voted for the second choice which is "If only the carrier is aware of it". Of course what do you expect? a person knows he is a HIV positive/carrier and still resort to infecting and transmitting the virus. Where's your logic then? It's like saying "I know killing a person is illegal but I still do it".

TO give you an example why is it crime when the PERSON itself is aware that he is HIV positive.

Such topic should NOT be discussed in this matter.

If you know you have ANY disease, you are obliged to tell your partner about it before you have sex.
If you don't tell him/her, you are an intentional murderer, period.

In some countries like mine it is considered a crime by law and you go to jail for spreading deadly deseases, most likely forever.

if you`re telling them "i have HIV , so put your condom on" , then they do it , it`s not a your fault if something happens unless you`re doing something on purpose . But i doubt that any normal person would make sex with you if you tell them you have HIV .
if you shut up and don`t say anything , you`re a murderer . And only the simple fact you`re trying to defend yourself or trying to make excuses makes me wanna punch you in the face .

    GTFO NOW .

everyone who intentionally transmits it is a terrorist -_-

you know you can get HIV from a simple blood transfusion in a hospital, or from many other ways, and even if you have protected sex it's not 100% safe.
