Actually, gladiators have a limit with their cleave\ankle snare, and the bow extends further.

Also, it's an option, not a must.

 

besides cleave - there are certain skills w/c you can use ( the AOE ) including severe pc and seismic if he's not that far. u can also either do preventive/defnsive buffs or do pots while on shield atm..and make some space,skill prep for offensive mode..if u still have enough hp to bark on..

No offence but you don't know Lovely about glads. HP IS RECOMMENDED.

 

After reading all these posts all I can say is that if you stack hp as a glad then your a noob its all crit, attack, and maybe acc if you want. Barely no glad on retail even uses hp and they shouldnt use it on gamez either.

 

Why do people compare retail. On retail, not every sorc is running around with full anu, jellies, and lightburst 2 (not available there). Stacking attack makes little to no sense in the damage calculator for HIGH levels. End game glads (lv 55) usually switch to HP because it makes more sense. And good job, any glad (most can probably wipe the floor with you) who uses HP is a noob. Because you are right and everyone else is wrong.

 

Im not really comparing it to retail but im playing on gamez not crystal so atm theres no lvl55 skills or any of that and to tell you I have dueled lots of glads who stack hp and they lose before they can get me down to 75% hp. Its all crit and attk.

end game ? glads switch to hp ? gladiators are the offensive types for warriors,maximize what you are made for.and i cant even imagine if u can reach the soft cap for crits,w/ all ur sockets on hp's..well,w/ scrolls and foods,maybe >.>?glads w/o critical is nothin' but a lame templar w/ squishy defense.

besides that,on 1.9 - 2.0 patch +2khp wont save you against rangers and mages ( fear,blind,silnce,sleep ) + a combo from those characters,defintely your dead..u cant even get closer.

in a private sever,maximize what ur made for..since cap items are pretty much obtainable by ALL of the players -

 

i usually throw my reduce defense skill at target->
then i go in for lock down ->
then i spam ferocious strike->
cripple,blood drain->
then sharp strike chain

they usually will be dead by then

 

if im still alive..hehe
my counter attck :
buffs ehanced stamina ( instant 20% hp heal )
and the other buffs ( +201 hp regen every 2 sec )
lockdown ( 3 sec unable to use skill )
severe weakening blow ( - armor )
aerial lockdown ( make use of it..)
buffs berserk ( +70% attck damage )
piercing rupture ( - armor )
crashing blow ( u can if ur lag free and knows how utilize ur time )
severe precision cut
draining blow/crppling cut
dauntless spirit buffs ( absorb damage )
precision cut
parry buffs
sharp strike chain
if ur still alive ( if u have parry,u will )
i will annoy you -
buffs charge
run away
ankle snare
cleave chain or another severe precision cut,if cd ( at about 7m meters away from you ) =p
earthwake wave ( its range too =p )

 

Hey im just wondering..
What is the "soft cap"?
Currently I have 9 crit strike +15 socketed in my spear and my breastplate. Which makes my crit strike 357 (52 (+305)).
I still have plenty more crit strike manastones to socket but I dont know when to stop socketing crit strikes and begin socketing attack.
