My ranger, I have no idea what to do

I've played aion for like 2 weeks now(first time), fun game, but I'm at a loss of what I should be trying to accomplish. I'm level 47, can kite, jumpshot and solo pretty well, but my equipment sucks. I have two friends that are around 40, a gladiator and cleric, which I think we'll make ok groups for easy stuff.

There doesn't seem to be tons of info on the net on what I should be going towards or grinding out for equipment. Abyss quests for points? Normal quests for the gear itself? Stick to crafting? I don't need the best of the best, atleast not till I learn the game better, but I'm having a hard time knowing where to even start other than random drops off mobs. Anyone got suggestions or something?

 

Finding a legion would help you and your friends a lot as well as get some more help in-game

Group with a healer (cleric / chanter) then go to theobomos stronghold area.... level 50 mobs there give decent amounts of xp and they are fairly easy to kill...

 

It's not much, but work on getting to 50. I'll be farming elder armor and i will have no problem giving you the leather peices i find. It'll help a little bit at least.

 

1) google: Dark poeta boss drops
2) Enter Dark poeta and go to specified locations for loot you need
3) Gather full anuharts set and full jewelry (rings/earings/etc) for everybody
4) go kill asmos or elyos
5) farm silver medals off baranth legatus in dredgion
6) buy full 40 elite
7) Kill asmos or elyos more effectively

 

Well I was looking at the broker earlier, it's not too expensive and I don't mind buying the elder stuff. Half of my equipment is still life leather I bought 20 levels ago =) Random drops have seem to become a lot more rare since then, atleast for usable equipment. Leveling is pretty easy though so 50 isn't a big deal. Anything my level is like 600k a kill and 30mil quest rewards. Slowed down a bit helping my friends catch up however.

I know DP is supposed to be one of the better places to go for stuff, how many people do you need to be able to farm drops in there?

 

Not completely sure mate, never been there. I go to the abyss and farm bosses in elten and herion to get kinah. XD

 

You must be first of all lv50 to enter DP.

Secondly you can do DP with 2 rangers but this is for people who know this place and it's bosses

So as newbie you are, get a full party: Tank, DPS, DD, Nuke to make a good run and to kill all bosses for anuhart gear

 

I guess once my friends get higher we'd be ok for dp with another person or two, or is a gladiator not good enough and we'd have to have a templar?

 

Gladi is good as far as you heal him in time

 

You'll be fine with 3. Gladiator + ranger can casually duo all of it.

 

That's good then. Just gotta get those two up to speed.

So excited about all the level 50 stuff I went ahead and hit it. Lot of gaming today...Got about half of the elder stuff for now as well as the bow, now I really do need to catch them up.

 

Well I have a question... First how do you get to Dredgion. Second, is it just me or every rangers out there having to kill Chanter, Sin, Temp, Cleric and Glad so difficalt since the update? It feels like our damage do nothing to them anymore... I have +10 taha and my attack goes upto 750 when useing buffs but still can't kill these classes... For chanter and sin I can't move cause they cry about stunlock so they get it. Glad They got too powerful and buff. Temp forget it to fight them cause you hit them only 75 to 600. Never going to get it down cause they got huge attack cause rangers are squish. Healers you can kill if they are silenced but they have debuff and sorc don't get caught first cause they will Kaboom you with 2 skills and spritmaster you can handle. WTF is going on with ranger!!!! Ranger can't do shit anymore other than recon fucking gay!!!

 

Okay... so many answer now to ur one question vortextk listen to them and u will be good in game...
