Ever wondered how to obtain Major Critical Strike Scrolls, Greater Running scrolls, cook delicious PvP food along with great remodels and MCD items without having to pay 3,000,000,000,000 in the broker for scrolls and pots alone?

Then this guide is the guide for you!

Time for you to learn how to provide yourself with PvP materials without having to spend trillions of kinah!

But before all these things, there are two parts to the crafting art in Aion:

    Part A: Gathering materials.

Now gathering materials are branched into two options in the game, and both options are entirely up to user preference. Both options also involve Aethertapping and Essencetapping.

    Aethertapping

Every daeva has the ability to extract aether from Aether materials. Aether can be found floating around maps or usually, above cities. The level of the area tells the level of the aether ores around it. If you want to start Aethertapping, start flying on top of Verteron Citadel(Elyos) or Altgard (Asmodian) with a Novice Aethertapping Hat for that easy aether ore locator function in your radar. Level your Aethertapping until max so you won't have any disturbances when your'e gathering aether. The highest level of Aether (Like Brilliant Magical Aether) can be found as a chance aethertap product from floating aether ores in the maps of Inggison/Gelkamaros.

    Essencetapping

Since you're a Daeva you can easily extract essences from many different sources all around Elysea/Asmodae. Just like Aethertapping, the level of the maps tell the level of the essences you can find. Again, if you want to start with Essencetapping, just walk around Verteron Citadel (Elyos) or Altgard (Asmodian) with a Novice Essencetapping Hat for that easy essence locator function in your radar. Level your Essencetapping until max so you won't have any disturbances when you're gathering essences. The highest level of Essences can be found as a chance essencetap product from certain essences found around Inggison/Gelkamaros.

Question:Where do I get these Essencetapping/Aethertapping hats of which you speak of?
Answer: You can get them at the Crafting Centres which are Artisan's Hall(Sanctum) and Temple of Artisans (Pandemonium). Open your Sanctum/Pandemonium map and you will see areas coloured green. Those are the crafting centres. Go there for crafting or gathering purposes.

The two methods on gathering materials:

Method 1: The Simple Man's Way

I call it as such simply because it's simple. Need aether? Aethertap. Need essences? Essencetap. Easy as that. Need Burning Balaur Blood Stain, or other mats that can't be obtained through essencetapping? Check the following sites, search for the drops, and farm them.

    Method 2: The Morpher's Way

This method isn't difficult at all, it's just that it will not involve Essencetapping at all and will concentrate fully on Aethertapping. If you're a lazy farmer/essencetapper, and would rather farm thousands of aethers and a lot of DP, then this method is for you.

    Question: How does morphing work?
Morphing works by transforming aether into the material of your choice with the utilization of DP. Gather DP from killing monsters, gather Aether from Aethertapping, and get Morphing Methods from Terminon Fortress (Elyos) or Primum Fortress (Asmodian) in Reshanta. You can go to Reshanta by flying over Verteron Citadel/Eltnen/New Heiron Gate(Elyos) or Morheim/Altgard/Beluslan (Asmodian) and entering the Abyss Gate Portals.

You can choose from either of the methods OR do a combination of the methods yourself.
Personally I do both whenever I feel like it.

Now that you've got the materials, it's finally time to craft!

    Part B: Crafting Items.

    1) Master the craft of your choice. There are six kinds of crafts in Aion:

    A. Weaponsmithing
Creates swords, greatswords, spears, daggers, shields and maces.

    B. Armoursmithing
Creates Plate and Chain types of armour, also chain and plate helmets.

    C. Tailouring
Creates Cloth and Leather types of armour, hats and bandanas.

    D. Cooking
Creates food, drinks and special chef items (Master Carved Chef Dipper/Master Carved Chef Hat).

    E. Alchemy
Creates Orbs, Spellbooks, scrolls, potions and manastones.

    F. Handicrafting
Creates bows, staves, glasses, belts, rings, earrings, and necklaces.

These are the following Craft Masters:
    Elyos (Artisan's Hall, Sanctum)

    Weaponsmithing: Anterus
    Armoursmithing: Vulcanus
    Handicrafting: Utsida
    Tailouring: Daphnis
    Alchemy: Diana
    Cooking: Hestia

    Asmodian (Temple of Artisans, Pandemonium)

    Weaponsmithing: Logi
    Armoursmithing: Kinterun
    Handicrafting: Lanse
    Tailouring: Zyakia
    Alchemy: Honir
    Cooking: Lainita

Question: How do I max up or level my chosen craft?
Answer: There are two methods to levelling your craft:
    1) Do Work Orders. They're easy, cheap, and they won't make you run around gathering stuff everywhere, so Work Orders are the most time and cost-effective method of choice. Work orders can level your chosen craft up to level 450-500 (which is enough to begin crafting the highest-level crafts).

    2) Gather craft materials and then craft simple products. Gathering Betua log to make Betua wood, and similar other processes such as that can also be your choice. However, you will need to farm about 500 of such before you can AFK while leveling your craft.

Every time you max up your craft experience bar [Every time you open your craft window, your craft level appears (e.g. 59/99)] you will need to talk to the Crafting Masters located in the Crafting Centres in Sanctum/Pandemonium to proceed to the next level. There's also no level limit to mastered crafts, so don't be surprised if your craft goes to level 3,000.

Question: I want to master all crafts on one toon. Is that possible?
Answer: You can only master up to three (3) crafts in GamezAion. Over Retail, it's only one craft available for mastery [you can have 2 for expert level].

    2) Once you've mastered the craft of your choice, obtain the craft recipe, double-click it to learn it, keep the materials in your inventory, then craft away!

Question: Where do I get recipes for crafting?
Answer: You can get Crafting recipes from Korean-named NPCS in Terminon Fortress (Elyos) or Primum Fortress (Asmodian) in Reshanta. You can go to Reshanta by flying over Verteron/Eltnen/New Heiron Gate (Elyos) or Morheim/Altgard/Beluslan (Asmodian) and entering the Abyss Gate Portals.

Question: I can't craft certain items, but I have the recipe and all the materials. Is this a game glitch?
Answer: That's a game bug. Refer to this guide for technical crafting issues.

Altgard and Morheim for Asmo also.

I'm pretty sure every map has an Abyss portal, except for Poeta/Ishalgen, Brusthonin/Theobomos and capitals like Sanctum/Pandamonium.

Hopefully the duller population of this server will quit scamming, duping, etc..
Oh wait half the server would be gone if they had nothing to cheat or scam.
