Speed limit

What would you people say if the LIMIT of speed / flight speed would be increased to, lets say, 20?

Why?

Because of all the anuhart sets its easy to gain speed and all the people can get max speed easily... BUT this thing makes the dash skills of templars, glads useless. using the escape skill u still have 16 speed and cant get away or cach anyone...

If the limit would be increased to 20 or 19 the clases who are ment to be faster actually would be faster...

And if you start to tell me of the retail sh1t blah blah and so on then i kindly remind you that on retail 98% people dont have anuhart or better sets

I hope you like my idea and we could increase the limit to at least 19... :rightful:

speedhackers are moving abowe 16... 3/4 additional speed is not THAT much... it would only help that fast classes..

And u still will see who is speedhacking and whos not...

I notice the thread you pointed to is in crystal section, this may be a dumb question but I gotta ask, has that been implemented in gamez? If so that makes my day. I seen albul say "what no hackers? LOL" yesterday in global so im guessing it has. It would be sweet if an autokick log got posted with char names so that we may publicly humiliate them and throw tomatoes at them and such. Sorry if that sounds vicious I despise cheaters.

 

umm, i think it has, and if it hasnt been implemented in gamez, then it will be soon

 

erm i'm not aware of this being on crystal i still move at 16.0 cap but some classes like sins or glad can move above the cap it just doesnt track it

 

i havnt looked at my flight speed yet
but i know its faster than starter wings XD

in off server you can have flight speed 16.0 its max and speed is not limited i think because you cant got more than 14.0 speed.

 

This would be a non-issue of free fly was removed (and it should be removed)

But to the point, even with full set of DP gear (anuhart, etc) your unbuffed flight speed is only 13.6. Flight cap is 16.

Charge puts you at 16 for 10 seconds regardless of what you're wearing.

Strengthen wings (if you're a gladiator) puts you at something like 14.5 which is fast enough to catch most people. This coupled with Inescapable Judgment (templar pull skill) or Ankle Snare (glad root) you shouldnt have an issues at all, except for speed hackers.

without flight scrolls, or some kind of hack in place you wont ever naturally reach 16 speed for more than the duration of charge (10s) so there is no reason, what so ever, that the flight speed cap should be raised.

And as for "not getting the full benefit of raging wind scrolls" well, considering 99% of people are too lazy to make or buy them its not really an issue.

Besides, there are a million other things that are more important than the flight cap, that are being worked on.

What I just cannot understand is WHY people play here if they dont like the advertised features (the ones that bring in the huge crowds that play here like... ummm... free flight as an example) If you dont like free flight ffs go to a non free flight server noone has a gun to peoples heads forcing them to stay.

 

youre right on retail almost no one has full anuhart stet, or lets say no one has the complete set but... the no life players there have either lv40 Abyss Set or Lv50 wich are way much better than anuhart.

Its not that you have to reprogramm the game to increase the cap, i assume its not that hard...

And im not talking about the lazy players who dont pay attention to their speed... It is rather anoying if you are a high end tank for example with normal speed + ragging scroll you have constant speed 16... And if the situation gets hot and you need to escape then YOU JUST CANT do it.. lol cos the speed cap is 16...makes all the skills that boost your flight speed useless - that is the problem...

In such server you have to adjust some things... its not good enought to offer the retail features, that is my oppinion...

 

If you want to make it so that skills and gear determine flight speed, you would take the cap off altogether. I could accept either case really. I like knowing that no one but hackers can catch up, but I also think flight speed should be a stat that is conciously built. Something you might sacrifice other stats to gain so you can catch up to people running away.
