ranger vs gladiator

who will win??? both have good items an good player..

 

gladiator if on ground .

 

ranger if the ranger knows how to kite very well.

 

it actually depends on how well the ranger could maintain his/her distance from the gladiator... once the gladiator gets close, the ranger will surely loose

 

the only skill glad is vulnerable at is sleep
if the ranger dont kill him during sleep he surely dies

 

i fight a glad a while ago... i use stealth and dn throw a silince but he still can use his skill an beat me T_T maybe i still noob at using my char....

It really depends tbh, if it's gonna be a fast fight = glad wins.
If the ranger is gonna sleep/root run away stealth come back when CDs are up and so on, the ranger will win

 

A good ranger could beat a Gladiator, gotta be fast though, ones the Gladiator gets close you're pretty much screwed, unless you still have that sleep arrow.

Distance = anti-glad. So are status effects. Remember, if he uses AoE he can knock you out of Hide, I think using Hide in a duel is worthless, unless you do it right when the 3-2-1 timer starts.

any combo tips to beat glad?

 

Silence is only for magic skill's, like spiritmaster/sorcerer skills, for a glad not to be able to use skills, you'll need to blind, or get a physical silence skill like sm's Body Root.

 

but he have a long range skill right?? an my silince wont work to him??

Yeah, he has the Cleave combo, and Leaping Smash(death to ranger, as it jumps the Gladiator right in front of you - It's a 15m range though)

All I know is though, I'd always try to use entangling, stun, poison arrow(antagonizing or w/e). And the old trick at low HP.. Sleep -> Lethal Arrow. Never played a ranger for PvP.

If he Ankle Snares you, use Sleep like right away, or you dead, bro. And ruuun/entangling make some distance then start again. XD

 

best combo so far on glad is Sleep/agonzing arrow/Lightning arrow/holy arrow/Explosion arrow/then shock arrow to get away and lethal arrow to finish( this being if u are quick enough to get all them other skills off in time then kite away while they are snared and use ur chains if they got some hp left( try to silence for the second wind skill glads have) seems to work, also put a Blind stone in your bow or paralyze.

lol ya cleave combo and leaping smash suxors but rarely do i get a glad quick enough to do that combo on me before i kite away ;p usually after my snare i use hide to get some distance then i follow thru with my entangling and stunning shot to usually finish them off. but i personally think a rangers worse enemy is a Temp(so much fking hp/block -.-)

 

What you're supposed to do;
If you're in ranged; Use FE when you see the glad starting his Cleave chain (this will dodge one attack and stop his chain) [idk if that works on this serv tho].
Next, if you see the glad using Leaping Smash(a big freaking jump towards you, hard to miss) use the root skill, can't remember the name.
then just burst the shit out of the glad

 

Not sure if that works, I think that evade doesn't cancel it.

Block doesn't work. >.< Sadly.

 

i will try that combo but the animation skill is sucks too long to release my shot...

 

HERE only ranger that can beat me is hanja ^_^ every other ranger doesn't even know how to play well..
and they're squishier than heck ;3

Jump shots only work for PvE its not a PvP oriented skill nor does it make much of a difference other then graphic effects and smoother cast times.

 

i know but i dont use it in pvp..... is it useful in pvp to? i only use it in lvling...
