GamezAion Launcher

When the I use the Gamez Launcher, it seems to replace some files in my Aion folder. I'm assuming that's an antihack measure. However, I fail to see where modifying the system.ovr folder can give an advantage over other players.

The system.ovr can be used for graphical presets.

TL;DR: I would like to suggest that the Gamez Launcher should not replace the system.ovr file.

 

system.ovr is for free fly. its nothing bad at all, on that file u can find codes below.

You really should read what my post is about before trying to explain something to me. If you actually read my post then you'd see that I already know what the system.ovr file is used for.

Anybody with a brain can see that this is the SUGGESTIONS forum, not the questions forum.

 

And my question is, why should I manually add those options when most of the needed ones are automated by the Gamez Launcher. And it doesn't give advantage over the others, it gives you the ability to use a server-side feature, nothing more.

If you read correctly:

Meaning that I never said it could be used for an advantage; rendering your post 100% useless and wasting my time.

If you really care, you can launch the game using an old launcher or the .bat file (here). I personally use the old launcher, but the auto-rewrite is really meant to save new players a step in manually patching.

Thought about what you said, so probably the suggestion would be rather: made a FC check before replacing, if the current/none system.ovr doesn't match the text written in the launcher itself, patch it only in that case, otherwise, pass by and move to the next step.

 

In my opinion the patches should all be written when installing, not launching. That'd make it easier to script, anyhow.

 

The old laucher was doing that. Then what's the use of the new one.
