Can any one tell me what the *** is this?Friend use shield for 5k dmg and see what happend.

 

were you on ultra low HP back then and you had agonizing arrow on yourself? Might've killed you. Provide chatlog from 2-3 minutes before you die until you die. Or just check it out yourself.

Oh and, is Zetton a SM? That might've killed you too. DoTs go through shields.

 

if zetton is an sm, he can also remove your shield and inflict you dmg through this..

 

Kinda wrong, look at what's in the combat log. Zetton didn't remove any buff since Playah died while having the shield, so final decision is that he got killed by DoTs.

if he was really killed by dots, it would be in the chat log too..

 

DoTs don't show their over-time damage in the chatlog, just the base one (when the skill is casted), the upcoming damage can only be seen on your screen (on your character's body to be more precise) so, as I said in my first post, look up in the chatlog for skills like Infernal Pain, Cyclone of Wrath, Erosion (if a cleric: Chastise, Earth's Wrath, Enfeebling Burst, even WoD lol) etc.

dots make dmg all 2,3,6 and 12 seconds (depend on what dot)

at the moment he used immortal shroud and the death it wasn't written any dmg only 0 dmg because of a skill.

dots would be showed, or it depends how he personalyse his chatlog.. but would be dumb to not show dots..

Immortal Viel...Is the most annoying skill in the game. You CAN die before it actives fully if something hit you JUST before it finished its own animation.

It is not bugged. Just you have to take into account for YOUR ping and the other players ping as they will effect the shields as well.
I have died when the shield was being activated (instant cast, still has an effect animation.) so if something hit you just before like a dot. Also, not everything shows up on damage / chat logs.

We did talk about this in game as I noticed him saying something about it.
The skill works, but you have to be out of the shock animation, the shield must go all the way around you. You CAN still take damage before both of those happen and have a skill that killed you before the shield activated, have it activate fully, have a skill deal 0 damage, and die right after. That is due to the pings, and how the game itself works. Same thing happens on retail as well.

It is annoying but, nothing really can be done about it.
