I guess a dream is coming true, day by day scientists are pushing hard and being very into the mighty "Mind Control" issue which is become 'scary' and at same rate 'interesting' nowadays...

They were already doing that on "bugs" by implementing electrodes onto wings, legs w/e but a bug is not a "super organism" and impossible to compare with a mouse's anatomy. Now they have successive steps on super-organism and hence it become more 'sophisticated'.

Considering that some illnesses come from the mind, as well as paralisys they could use the electrodes to make the legs/hands of those who have broken their spine to work again. In Military... I don't know, I don't see any use of that. Well, let's hope they will advance with this technology and they will actually use it for this purpose, not "mind-control".

Spy mices? Killer bees? Sonar-weapon (anti-submarine) dolphins? Destroyer ant colonies? x_x

 

They can use it to kill Emotions... Imho I think Emotions are useless in War. Also they can use it to increase Hatred and Hatred/Rage is useful at war, "Mind Control" right? I've seen privates scared to death in the field when your supposed to be focused on the mission/situation and not thinking about home...

Emotions, training the emotions and control the rage/hate of a soldier may bring victory as proven @ World War II.
Another point is, mankind will use everything for their war-purposes, insects become spies and animals are soldiers.

And it's very well known USA is using the nature since very long time.

Well, terrorism will still continue, against the new mind-control things will be born as there will never be all people pleased with the situation, as well as religious contexts etc. Perfect killing machines? Until they start attacking their comrades. I believe that a soldier who can control his emotions is far superior to a killing machine. Mind controlling without actually implanting or planting something in or on a subject is close to impossible (Let's stop dreaming about controlling mind waves). So to implant millions of small chips into ants, bugs, bees is also close to impossible, not to mention the costs.

 

Dranzel, I would like to inform you about "new found mushroom breed" which "taking control of ants by change their chemical and using/directing them in purpose of infect itself to more victims. Steering ants until next colonies, or enough-to-be-nest targets.

Means, it's not 'the only way' of control living subjects by chip-implants. There are ongoing researches about mind-waves, but still it is proven that you can control and steer by change chemical build. And the nature evolved this breed, helped for evolve "control ability" same as 'resident evil' as the same nature 'evolved/created us' to our current super-perfect organic state.

If you believe the homo sapiens sapiens is really exist (such a super-organism), you should believe more at the power of nature.

* Now all we need is research and study 'how this mushroom is doing that', before change our living subjects genetic specifications and add this one (mind-control ability) for to use at desired purpose. Genetic Engineering is 'deadly' sometimes.

What would happen to those soldiers when they want to return home? If you want soldiers like that, you missed them in world war 2. Those times were brutal.
