    Hi guys.

I've recently bought a ps3 and created an account to play online. I've heard from several people that sony is trying to steal from us. It made me uncomfortable with my ps3 online account.

They've told me that its not normal that sony lets people play online without paying unlike xbox live which costs 60$ year. They also said that they use your ip adress to follow your path online. By following the ip, they can trace every information such as credit card number and password while using it online.

Im very confused and I need you guys to clarify this to me. :/

    Thnx.

PS3 network is completely free of charge unless you want to buy addons such as map packs for gamez. Tell the ppl who told you that Sony is trying to steal from you that they need to get a shovel for all that bullshit. There is no way that Sony would be able to get away with "Stealing" info and of course they have your IP address, but they don't use it to "follow" you online to get any passwords and credit card info. I have both a 360 and PS3 and me nor any of my friends both IRL and Online have NEVER had any problems with info being stolen for either networks. Right now the only problem with Sony is them pissing off big time internet hackers and getting their network pwned, but I think it's fixed now.

Sony won't abuse your personal information such as credit card numbers, but the hackers that are raping Sony up their ass right now, will.

Right now they said they hacked Sony's networks as retaliation for all the legal action Sony is taking against another hacker.
