Top 5 Movies and TV shows?

After watching the new Pirates of the Caribbean which was just horrible, and then rewatching the Shawshank Redemption, I realized how truly awful most movies nowadays are. I was just wondering what your top 5 movies of all time were, and for the heck of it, tv shows also I guess ;o. For me, it'd be

Movies
1. The Shawshank Redemption
2. The Godfather
3. Inception
4. Die Hard
5. The Dark Knight/ the Departed

TV shows
1. Lost (I like thematic shows/allegories ;o)
2. 24 (Seasons 1-5 only)
3. The Office (arguably the funniest show ever made)
4. The Sopranos (minus the ending)
5. Modern Family

So what's yours, I'm sure I'll pick up some good movies to watch through this (maybe I'm overestimating how "cultured" some of you are x.x).

 

I can't make a top, well.. I'm still watching Scrubs and Top Gear.

Godfather beats Inception just because it's legendary/classical. Truly, I do like Inception more, because of the idea, and because of the mysterious end.

Samuel L. Jackson's voice acting is top-notch.

 

Band of Brothers and Death Note are technically shows. I loved Band of Brothers. And I didn't like A Beautiful Mind. Idk that's just me.

I can't stand predictable House. It's waaay to predictable D:, but I did like Fight Club. It just didn't crack my top 5

 

The Shawshank is great movie,same for Escape from Alcatraz with C.Eastwood or Godfather.All of them would be in my top 10...
But what i want from movie is to keep me entertainmented whole time from 1st min to the last.

You really should watch the Office. It takes a few episodes to get adjusted to the characters, but that show will have you laughing on the floor with tears in your eyes .

 

Oh, anyone remember The Warriors?Great movie!

Actually they made a few Live Action Death Note movies and they're actually really good. If you though Light was mean in the show then he becomes a real heartless bastard in the movies.
