Which one runs better (in terms of efficiency and quality): AMD Radeon HD 5770 or Nvidia 9800GT?

This is my friend's HQ graphics on a 9800GT. What's strange is that, after some researching, the hivemind prefers the 5770 over the 9800GT, yet the Nvidia runs almost in every way superior to the ATI one.

Both goes good, since Aion is not using any side's special patented technology (such as Nvidia's Physx or ATI's stuff)
But my own opinion is Nvidia, since Geforce chips are in use more common at industry.

NCSoft is using CryEngine btw. here the partner list:

and NVidia is part of them ;)

Funny how PhysX used to be neutral, until Nvidia bought it off QQ.

it's not about specification comparison all the time, chip-set & used technology & software compatibility another vital case in fact.

Well, I've got an nVidia 9500 GT, so you know which I prefer more xD. And most games seem to be better optimized for nVidia.

What I was talking about... "Fact sheet" of a product is not everything since the industry using Nvidia engines 'slightly more'.
Such as CryEngine which NCSoft used on Aion. That make Aion more optimized for Nvidia chip-sets because CryEngine in optimized for Nvidia partnership.

I remember having an intel video board with over 1GB of RAM on it, simple games never worked.
