Question about 2.1 ~ 2.5 update

i am currently preparing an updated client for aion 2.5
w/ my backup 2.1 client and i noticed the 2.5 update is 3.9gb.
is that correct?

PS: it has been a long time since i tried to update a client w/ nearly 4gb.
is this updating (NCSOFT) pausable (stop and continue) when u shutdown your pc? or u must not have any stoppage w/ the update.

It can just download automatically for you.

i also notice there is no Pause key at the update box (unlike Pando and other update launcher of MMOs)
so i will expect a continuation from where i will halt and turn off my pc and when i come back it will continue ?

sorry for this., just needed to be sure. since my DL is quiet slow and the weather now is so unstable... excessive power failures always happening the past few days in our city.

Yes, since 2.5 is a uber important update, you won't be able to enter the game without it, and that's why it forces you to finish downloading.

In short, yes, it will pick up where you left off.

for me i am preparing a 2nd client for 2.5

just incase Gamez runs 2.5 .. i will be ready and not suffer the uber waiting to update my client to 2.5.

i just finished the 2.5 update and i noticed a new folder named bin64 along with the bin32.
is this new 2.5 only for 64bit OS? or i dont need to worry about it. <--- Win xp user

 

You don't need to worry about it. You still won't be able to use the 2.5 client but you can hijack some of its client based features like the UI, enhanced graphics and stuff.

aion 2.1 = 21gb and aion 2.5 = 26gb i updated yesterday and changed textures and objects

i got like nearly 70gb of all Aion in my Drive E now >.< (3 clients)


PS: i used the launcher for the update but incase ppl prefer non launcher patch. i found a manual patch
