Your Opinion on Aion

Personally, I believe the game has more potential than most MMO games have. (this game would be awesome as an offline, single player game with similar but also enhanced gameplay, huh?) That aside, many people say Aion just...died. Claiming it pulled you in with flight as a gimmick. (lol)

If any of you have read the Aion lore, you'll know that the end of faction fighting will supposedly end when one of the Tower of Eternity stumps are conquered and destroyed. [Read About It Here] I've heard some people say in retail that the story will end by simply making a new tower. (as an online game, of course the end will never be explained)

What are your thoughts on Aion as a whole? (story, gameplay, etc)

And yes, an AA MMO like Aion has many potential, but the grinding ended up bring it down in value.

Well, I was AMAZINGLY excited when I first got Aion, started on retail, played for just a little while until I got an asmo assassin to level 20, then decided to head for a private server. I've regretted this sooo many times cause being on a private server made me go to 55 in a while, learn everything the boring way and I missed the exploring and searching that new players do on retail D:

But, one thing, I love its graphics. I pretty much have this thing that I can't enjoy a game if I don't like its graphics, and Aion is like, my fave style on graphics.
And its storyline, it's fun, shame I didn't get to enjoy it.<3

Good game for questing and big legions, but horrible pvp system | lone gameplay system.

I think the pvp system is pathetic compared to old games (RO, WoW, PW), story wise is way better than any I've seen.

 

There should be a clasical action rpg version of this game... the lore is nice, but all that get lost in the online grind and how insignificant your actions become because of it.

As an mmo is allright.

 

aion is the best mmo i played. if u dont like it.. just wait for 2.5 or 3.0 lolz

 

What about Duke Nukem and Crash Bandicoot?

 

Aion has cool gameplay and graphics but sad to say its getting boring see people dupe and hack so so lame......

 

Retail was, is and will always be ownage.

 

aion has one of the most combative and different style's of PVP system. compared to RF. 12Skies, etc. Aion's PVP rule :0

 

to be honest i expected more when i joined... when i first saw trailer i was deeply excited but then, when i joined the game i got disappointed cuz did not like it much, but well by time i started to love this game

..many hated aion because of the fact that they think WoW is the best..as far as i know, WoW players have made alot of their names in Headlines on a bad note(crime,suicide,rape)..I personally did not like WoW because i played too much Warcraft (RTS) and got bored of it already..People say that the lvling there is fast and Aion is too slow..I played RO and RF Online,had to say its the same as lvling on Aion,hard but rewarding..

With accord to the lore of Aion, I think they should make a MOVIE out of it..Best story ive seen on an MMO..

 

Aion's Ending: Carl will close the server because more and more people will leave in time and the donations he will be getting are not going to be enough to support the server.

Aion has a lot of potential unfortunately retail ruined it by making it a grindfest. Though many many years from now it will realize its potential when "Vision" comes out. But I'll probably have moved on to something else by then.

Aion is good, 3.0 is VERY good ( it seems ).
GamezAion is bad.
