Great update LOL

Way to patch a fail EMU with a even more fail update.
Now before you say this is just another flame thread or QQ post, I suggest you take the time to actually read it.
Here's what I don't get. As everybody should be fully aware, this new update is more broken than the actual EMU that was implemented a month ago. Considering the lack of fixes to the initial EMU, I'm going to assume all that time in between was spent on this most recent update. Not only that, there was an actual test server to test this update. I also read on somewhere on this forum that this update was the same as the one Crystal got a few weeks prior. I dunno if that's true or not, so let's just say its false.

So that being the case, why was this update even released? If it was actually tested, which you can tell it barely was/not tested at all, you'd know its obviously more broken than the original EMU. If the update Crystal got was the same, then its a even bigger fail.

The whole point of this post isn't to put Carl or any member of the dev team on blast, far from it. Well, maybe just Carl. I know the forum mods and AMs play no role when it comes to the actual game mechanics, but before any of you guys reply with the generic "don't be counter-productive by complaining" posts, it might be a better idea for Carl to be proactive and actually release an update when its ready, instead of jumping the gun with a broken ass update and opening the flood gates for QQs/rageposts/complaining.

Another note to point out. I see a lot of people point out that the bugs are being fixed. You sure? Because I don't recall any major fixes to game mechanics from the day the new EMU was released til this recent update. I know what they did "fix" though. Anything and everything that players could use to their advantage. Abyss instances could be farmed for easy medals/AP, it was patched right away along with a AP wipe. Even this recent update disabled any chests in Splinter to be looted. There's a considerable amount of difference between the time it takes to fix an actual problem and the time an exploit is "fixed."

Oh that's right...if players were able to actually gear up in-game...they wouldn't donate anymore. Let's just take everything out so players either quit or donate some more.

 

Evilset said files were messed up when implementing and that he's rewriting them now.

If you do love this server.. Why not help.

If you had time to make this thread..Why not make a thread involving some bugs or new problems that can help this server and fix the bugs and problems faster.

The staff already knows about the situation.
Making complaints / rage / flame threads like this wont help so STFU!.

We all have lives to attend to! so stop thinking about your self.

If you think that everything can be fixed in just a single day thats where you are wrong.
If you think you know everything and think that your just wasting ur time here... all i can say is ..

GTFO~, start your own SERVER , Get your own DEV , get your own STAFF.
create your own Perfect server , Fix your own F-ng Bugs.(period)

Come back and rage here about this server Once you made that Perfect server of yours. (if you can)

Skills wont work for weeks and they are slow to be fixed, medals and ap are fixed immediately.
Im glad the talocs fruit stuff was fixed fast, however it wasnt an issue b4 and shouldnt have been one if it was tested b4 rollout.
I could care less who is on the leaderboards, theres less pple pvping especially not in a group because if ur an officer u lose 15k ap per death vs getting 300 per kill. That and pple with 1 mil ap are only rank 3, they should at least be an officer, that would make the ap issue moot, Id rather kill asmoes and get ap than run an instance anyway.
I do enjoy playing on the server and try to adapt whenever theres bugs , we would have a lot more people playing if the ap gain was better than it is. we can wait all we want, if the ap ranks updated as they were displayed it would be much better for pvp. IJS

and I still like this server :3 just yesterday I've QQ'ed about credit card scandal xD

I'm sure everything will be okay in the time... Not Carl nor Evilset has magical wand for one touch.

so im assuming u like things were before the update? 'cause the server back then is slowly die'ing & the only faction thats actually having a good time is asmo~ due to the elyos rank bug ..well, to be better needs changes & progress do takes time

& to check everything in Aion before they implement it would literally take forever~ with no guarantee that it'll be perfectly suited for all players thats playing the game online on a live server.. im guessing they're adjusting with it as it goes, & fix the bug as players encountered it & so on~

u really think the players will patiently wait till everything's tested before they implemented it?

lets not be ridiculous on how patient online players are, unless ur looking to be ridiculed

& theres a another way if donating isnt a thing that u fond of, vote for it or simply invite more new players / friends, it'd only make things more fun if u & ur invited friends have already geared up & raid together.. which is exactly what voting are meant to do in the first place~ to simply attracts more players

 

I always enjoy this kind of threads . People from each side (the good - the bad) insult each other and the rest followers thank the most insulting aka cool replies .

Of course there are the peacemakers aka trollers but they don't do anything worth to mention .

 

Because this is nature of this case, what you were expecting? Something happen; someone being raged from it and puke in forum, while some supporting him, some others will not be like-mind...

People in here like to hear nice stuff despite the cataclysm of bugs . That's obvious , but why do they have to reply with insults when someone rages ? This doesn't make them look more clever that the OP but even dumber .

i loled at ur "the server was slowly dieing " comment, it may have been , however there was 10 x more people on and playing , the emu change made sure it wasnt a slow death, it hit the population with a death ray.

And it wasnt the code or the physics or any of the other bugs, it was the lack of AP and medals, thats all

It was a criticism on Carl's part to stop releasing fail updates when they're obviously not even close to being complete.

This being on the internetz, people tend to ignore/not read/misunderstand a lot of things being said.

 

It contains rage + criticism . Look at the chosen words in the text and you will realize that it got a little dosse of rage as well .

Solid criticism would be if the thread had proofs , named problems , bugs etc ... Speaking generaly 'You ruined this and that instead of fixing it' makes the OP target for flames

 

hey kaylara, when you coming back. I've been thinking about rerolling asmo cause its so boring pvping asmos without a lot of you iced teas around.

 

For how long I've been here... I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt... Gamez is far from a dying server.

Hell, it was "dying" a year ago... "dead" 8 months ago and then we have nuclear drama bombs cluster-nyerk (Remember: Shugo's say nyerk in Aion!) the server, CEO's leave, Sernior aion masters come and go, mass bannings of donators and other random players, competition servers, developers leave and make their own server. Birth and death of one of the most hardcore of Aion legion's, DTK D: =3 (I am teh only one left Q_Q. And then last, but not least, we had the MOAR drama bombs go off. (And meanwhile there has always been the periodic update that goes in as well as a donkey screwing a french opera singer singing in G'Minor Delta.)


A little set of problems, like what we have now, is NOT going to kill the server.

 

i think ur not looking in a bigger picture, & i also think back then is slowly dying because most of the online players that're online back then were those who have already geared up.. & how long do u think fun-boredom will last?

& lets face it, most of the ppl who left are dupers~ & those who didnt like the fact that they're not as OP as they were back then
