[Aegis] Thinking about it...

And by about it I mean about quitting, this time for good... not simply pretending to be away and voting up a storm.


I've played on this server for well over a year now (I only signed up as my main name after taking a month-3 months view of the server, and I obviously liked what I saw... still do.) and I have yet to even aquire a full ABG set.

Reason being? It's not been due to lack of activity, voting, etc.

Hell. I've even been hand picked to become a GM, but instead due to my lack of activity in game (due to the obvious lack of gear and frustration at the time) I was made a forum moderator. Which i <3'ed (this was ~ the time when I had Hawke from DA2 as my avatar).

However, during that same time I made probably the single most stupid decision I could. I, rather than just directly getting the items I needed, was thrust into a trade for ABG spear, ABG bow and an ABG necklace I had no need for (Along with a Masta plate that is worth about 1/10th of a fat-middle-aged-man-at-Walmart's-toilet excretory soilds.) in trade for ABG cloth set.

Did that go well? Nuh-uh. They backed out of the trade after I got all of the items myself, leaving me shut out in the dark. (Was this Spawn? After the latest fiasco I am left to wonder if it is. (Read below.))

Due to being a moderator at the time, and feeling a bit under the pressure due to my education, I was pretty damned embarassed... I went "spontaneously inactive" and voted up a storm... right now it'd be over 8k credits worth.


Last to happen? I was tricked by Spawn, that is the name he goes by now (the other guys name, heaven forbid me be fortunate enough to remember it was so long ago now), asked to purchase 4 ABG critical accessories (2x earings, 2x rings) along with the VIP in order to trade.

He promises me to trade, he even confirms it on the thread I made about him earlier... and then as soon as I'm done buying the items hes like "Oh! I got another offer!" "Sorry I'll just get the set from a friend whos quitting " <- Yet to happen, will it? Never, been made more than clear.

So now I've been sent off blowing 5.5k credits on useless junk when I could have gotten 3x pieces of my set. Peeved? No... I'm more qq >.>

When asking for my credits to be refunded because I did nothing wrong, I got caught by a scammer I still haven't heard anything back... which is insane because I've been here a HUGE amount of time and have even been a moderator before. And yet senior GM's like Zoda can give out signature events with mufflers that can get gears?

I'm sorry, it may sound a bit shallow, but my issue is WAY more importaint than a sig. Hell, I'd even make one in this situation (broken laptop, entire library of 10,000 brushes and 100's of customs annihilated).

I just feel screwed over, been here so long and have been helping others non-stop... I even have written multipleguides and have stayed loyal to this server. But IDK if it is loyal back to me...

Voting every day and confirming "This is the server I love, everyone else should come and join it too!", speaking on other forums and large gaming sites to bring in other members, even bringing in my baby sister to this server, means... nothing?

I just want my 5.5k credits given back... only the most recent ones because that is ALL I have proof for... the other one happened 3x harddrive failures ago and I cannot provide any proof at all for it. Although I'd obviously love to have those credits back, I do not expect them at all.

This isn't a demand in anyway, more a plea... but as it looks I've been here a year and everytime I've gotten at least close to my goal it's been torn away from me. Being a student in medicine and being absolutely obsessed with neurology, and now looking instead to Neurosurgery... I can't afford anymore set backs and I am better off, if I can't get this refund, to just quit for good this time. And trust me, the last thing I want to (obviously, after sticking for so long...!) do, is to quit this server.

tl;dr: Scam after scam, being made to waste everything I got here alone, I can't even bear to log into the game anymore due to being sub-par geared and unable to fulfill ANY strategy whatsoever.

It's just making me wonder...

Lol true, I could... but the neurosurgery residency is 80 hours a week (Or so I've been told)... and its 8 years long.

But seriously, I'm sorry things went so wrong for you. I'd feel the same way in your position. Gear is rather hard to come by without a handout or paying for it, so losing it all is shitty.

I watch it live all the time, which sounds odd... but it is fascinating. Also took an insane amount of neuro courses in my undergrad. Its the only thing that keeps my "rubix complex" in check, or I get insanely bored after breaking everything else down...

I was really bad before in terms of getting bored... would get bored and sleep all day for like a month because everything seemed so easy. Thus it isn't too unheard of for me to go onto enjoyable tangents of ripping tactics apart for example :x

On a normal occasion, no, this server is definitely not loyal in return, however, there are some reasons to hope. I basically quit, a long time ago after hearing and seeing all the injustice some of the staff (namely Alente, as much as I love the guy) was doing to you, but I couldn't really do much to stop it. Now, maybe I can offer you a chance to undo some injustice, and provide you a better hope, for the time being.

This may not make much sense for a few minutes.

P.S. - I never knew you were a moderator on here. Probably while I was gone from the forums for a month or two.

 

Yeah things were bad back then, I was pretty much bashed apart. But then again I stayed loyal to my morals and in return I've stayed and "prospered", minus the few gaping setbacks =s

Yeah I was for a little while, then because I was inactive it was forced to be revoked... I guess me going absent was a temper tantrum of mine that I really do regret now. I asked Bella for it back, but she has to be fair to everyone; I blew it :X
