Best bang for your bucks: ATI Radeon HD 5xxx and 6xxx series.

If you can afford it, go for Nvidia GTX 460-470-590 GTX. I hate their prices though.

It really depends on how much you want to spend on it...you have how much RAM? You CPU is Intel or AMD? Dual core? Quad?

It's not going to help much if you have a SLI Nvidia 590 GTX with 2 gigs of RAM now, isn't it?

Besides, most cards nowadays require a power supply that's able to support them (I had to buy a new one because of this), but seeing that you are able to use your current card, I suppose it's not needed.

Press start, type in dxdiag, hit enter, then either print screen or copy paste pl0x.

Anyhow, ATI RADEON HD 5XXX OR 6XXX NAO!

Depending on the CPU specs and the motherboard you can end up buying a pricey card for a PC that will not use it well. It will cap the video cards potential.

Not necessarily, but most often, yes...anyway, go with radeon 5 or 6 series if the price is nice...(as in under 200USD....)

I do prefer Nvidia, but ATI does work when one dont have that much money to burn. To answer you: marketing and sh**....I rarely see and ATI logo at a game box these days...and the retailers prefer to sell the highest priced cards when someone who doesnt know hardware shows up...its way easy...just show a game's box with the NVidia logo and you sell an overpriced card....

    DON'T DO IT.

If you can build your own computer, a desktop that's < $1000 can run as fine as a $1400 Alienware desktop.

    They overcharge stuff.

Also, Aion is affiliated with Alienware, of course they have to bump each other up somehow, see?
