    Carl and I have given this some thought and have decided to suspend the Muffler event system for the time being.

    While it is an interesting concept to have a separate event currency we have concerns regarding the longevity of the current system in regards to economic stability of the Siel realm.

    In particular should mufflers fall victim to an item duplication exploit/bug in a couple months time it would have significant and far-reaching negative consequences to our economy. An independent and high value currency like that is a dangerous thing - this was seen in the early days of Gamez when mufflers were first implemented and later duped. It took us months to clear up the fallout from that and gold medals - that is something which should never be repeated.

    I am considering launching development of an out-of-game currency system, perhaps linked into the website, for special events which would be a closed system manually controlled by us to prevent any possible exploit.

    In the meantime however this event is suspended indefinitely effective immediately.
