I always got error in updating using ncsoft

what exactly is the error u get when u update?

 

Error Code: 58 (FileGroupApplicationErrorRollbackNotAttempted):


Errors occurred while applying the patch,


and a rollback was not attempted.


The product is likely in an inconsistent state and should be repaired or reinstalled.


The patch application errors are as follows:


Error Code: 57 (ErrorRepairingTargetFile):


File could not be repaired: C:\Program Files\NCsoft\Aion\Objects\pc\dm\mesh\Mesh_Meshes_039.pak.

i think you need to re-install your NCSoft Launcher..

or..

Delete your bin32 folder then launch NCSoft Launcher again..

same problem but my aion is 2.5 but i cannot connect i got dc always?

 

your prob. is the aion launcher u cant log in coz its not yet available...mine is the whole 2.5 so wer not the same prob..:'(

 

for game re-installation, just go to gamez aion website and there are links there for installing fresh copy of NCSoft Launcher..but i should warn you first that installing a fresh copy will take a long time of downloading..

for deleting your bin32, you should delete bin32 inside your Aion folder then try to run your NCSoft Launcher again..

 

ill try it sir,,,but maybe how long will it takes to download the ncsoft launcher??..and the bin32 ill not replace it just delete?

 

iono thats the first time i've seen seen that. Try going to the place where its having the problem at and move that file to your desktop(w/e it was again) and then try updating and see if it replaces it by itself. I had to replace my item pack and animations in order to get past my upgrade.

 

my update is way too smooth no problems at all now waiting for the game 2.5 yahoooo

 

it will take a really long time because a fresh copy is about 17gig more or less..and it will also depend on your internet download speed.

about bin32, just delete it and launch NCSoft Launcher again..thats what i usually do when there are game updates.

 

i already did it deleting item pak and animations....but didnt work for me..:'(

ive already update this last night and no errors happened and i go to sleep wen i woke up and go on my pc this error shows and keep on showing everytime i update to 2.5..

 

Make sure you are running NCSoft launcher as an admin.

 

yah im running it as a admin....><.....

 

to update to the latest version, please make sure to delete your bin32 folder and then use the NCSoft launcher to repair your game (you right click on Aion in the game list and choose repair).

Also, make sure that your client's locale is set to NORTH AMERICA using the NCSoft launcher, then repair your game after doing that.

Launch NCSoft Launcher then click: File > Settings > Advanced > Region must be set at North America
