Can i turn my pc off and while updating ver 2.5 and continue later??

if i turn my pc off while i'm updating can i still continue the update?? i mean start from where i stopped?? is that possible?? i know very little about updating mmo's since this is my first mmo

ncsoft can pause right??? cause i'm updating 2.5 in our internet caffe but we have to close at 9 pm and its already pass 8 here and i'm only at 75% aion main. and i don't think i'll finish in time, so i'm kinda worried. i don't want to waste another day to update again i wanna spend my time tommorow with less time spent on updating and play ASAP, BTW how do i pause it??

 

right click on aion then click pause...

 

no pause button.. so i just pressed stop and shutdown. but i think it will work at, least i hope so. cause i dont want to start all over again.

 

if u are downloading... it should continue where it stopped... but if u are updating i mean applying the new downloaded updates i guess it will be totally stop...

 

You can do it! You will Pause the downloading and you will switch off your PC!

there's no problem about that..NC Soft will continue to where you have stopped downloading............happened to me once, when we got blackout...when i turned my pc again, NC Soft just continued to where it stopped downloading, files are safe.....

 

hhhmmm... i don't know if it will stop and i hope it wont. cause once you press the stop button, shouldn't it give you a confirmation first?? just to make sure that you didn't just mistakenly or accidentally pressed stop. it should pop up some confirmation first asking if you really want to stop the update. so what i mean is if the update will be restarted if i stop or pause then surely it should ask me if i really want to stop, it should notify me first that if i stop i wont be able to continue the update later. in which case it did not give me any notification or warning, it just closed.. does that make sense??? it doesn't seem like it did!.. XD i hope i'm right anyways thanks for your replies. BTW i stopped and closed NCsoft but i didn't shutdown was just testing if i can still continue, and it did. well i'll just have to find out tomorrow if it works.
