[Guide] Playing a sorcerer.

After MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF YEARS (1 month or so) of playing a sorc, and not seeing a guide for one at all-
I decided to make my own.​

I have two sets of Anuhart, one slotted Magic Boost + HP one slotted HP + Magic Resist.
I don't suggest doing this unless you have the resources, it's not necessary.

This is for people who have trouble figuring out what skills to use or what to slot. Anyone new, pretty much. This isn't for try hards who think I'm telling them they are playing wrong.




Magic Boost + HP = Higher damage, survivability.
HP + Magic Resist = Helpful against sins, survivability.

You're welcome to try a hybrid of Magic Boost + HP + Magic Resist; as long as your magic resist is 1370+, and your HP is around 8k you should be fine.

Then again you can go all magic boost and be a complete power house of damage.

Just whatever you do, don't believe the guy telling you to slot crit in LFG.

{ Sorc v. Ranger }


Use Illusion before he can attack. This will evade two attacks. The ranger is going to silence/stun you immediately, this will evade those.

Sleeping storm, or illusion storm to hold;
aether hold;
flame spray;
frost;

I suggest using one of your 4 buffs if you can get it in beforehand, (Magic Boost I, Supplication of Focus, Zikel's Wisdom, Boon of Stength)
Or if he hits first, Boon of Iron-Clad so you can block.


{ Sorc v. Assassin }


If you have low HP, this is probably not going to work out in your favor.
Your magic resistance and HP should help with the stuns and ambush chain.

sleeping storm/illusion storm - I suggest illusion if it's recharged. no cast time.
aether hold. (aether flame and magic fist while it's held)
arcane thunderbolt (stun)
flame spray.

and if it's still alive, frostfrostfrost.


{ Sorc v. Cleric }


Sleeping storm.
Magma Eruption.
Aether Hold.
Flame Spray.
Frost.

if it's still alive after that,
curse of roots, glacial shard- and it wont be.


{ Sorc v. Glad }

Keeping your distance is really good.
Might want to use illusion, they generally go for aerial thrust.

Just illusion storm, flame spray, root, frost, glacial shard.


{ Sorc v. Spiritmaster }

I wouldn't even bother.
They are going to spam fear.

If you want to try; use illusion, keep them held, aether hold, flame spray, frost.

-do not focus on their pet.


{ Sorc v. Templar }

Haha.

If you REALLY want to try this, keep them held- use flame spray, glacial shard, arcane thunderbolt, frost,
keep your distance.

{ Sorc v. Chanter }

They are just going to stun you.
Illusion immediately,
hold with illusion storm/sleeping storm.
make distance.
flame spray.
aether hold.
frost.



{ Sorc v. Anything }


Lightburst / Shadowburst.

Might I suggest for the Sorc vs. Cleric section you throw in they use the 1k M.Acc buff before attempting to kill them? A cleric using a MR build has a pretty high chance to avoid a lot of spells otherwise..

Besides that, good guide ^^

 

Just made a sorc, idk all the spells that well but this guides great ^^ My PvPs better so far aftr trying this.

 

Illusion Doesnt Dodge Sleep arrow. Cause sleep arrow is magical.

And If the ranger is know some combos then he wont leave the sorcerer a chance to hit or do any of these spells. And that just cause rangers here are made so that Ranger > Sorcerer .

 

You better hope you have Lightburst/Shadowburst when you run into a templar who can use inescapable judgment, or you're dead >

There's already a sorc guide, If you knew how to use the search button - you would have found it.

 

Let me shorten this guide up for everyone.. press 1-2-3 wait in town for skill cd, go out again rinse and repeat.

 

Urgh, Please close this thread, it's a complete fail. I'm not even going to waste my time bashing every single word on this thread, it's just not worth it.

 

As Framboise said, no offence but this guide is horrible.
