Not knocking Carl at all but...

Why was there no time released or even an approximate time when you have so many people wanting or waiting for an update as large and significant as this one? Again, I know its a lot of work and effort put into it but,
would it hurt to give your customers a tiny bit of closure..?

You're not a customer here. Nobody is.

 

You can call it what you want. Carl rakes in about 600 dollars a week from donations not including server fees. Wouldn't want him to /wrists over posting an approximate time. 45 minute down time my ass..

I wish he would. But we have both been here long enough to know he doesn't care. He'll do it whenever he wants.

 

There's a reason you call yourselves Donators - you DONATE for your credits - it means Carl has no obligations towards anyone of you.
Donating keeps the server alive so you can play here instead of retail or other lame p.servers.
The fact that Carl usually doesn't give a eff about the community is known, so instead of complaining just find something else to do.
P.S : Don't get me wrong, I support the fact that the minimum an Administrator can do is let the community know something - but it's infact not his obligation.

 

And you know what's the best thing? THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.

Carl doesn't care about the community. It has been told 1 million times. Donations in the magic word.

If you would donate on HIS paypal like 10,000$ and PM with a question when this update will be applied, then he would pay attention at you

The same things are being said about Carl and his attitude, believe me even since my join date, and the server is still alive.
It's a shame to see it alive this way - with lame PvP etc. but that's for another discussion.
Thing is, people will keep donating - until they realize what we've already realized, but then newcomers will replace them.

 

From a developmental standpoint "F2P" is always the way to go. And you're completely right.

 

Funny how history has repeated itself that way since I joined too.

I doubt we'll see an update but don't worry I always think that. Like I'm the harbinger of doom for gamez or something.
But yea Carl's stalling to do this update.

 

I will laugh at all those kids who flame and make gazillion threads about the update's time, but tomorrow they will all kiss ass of Carl for the v2.5...

Two days from now, the same kids will launch a second wave of QQ'ing/ whining threads about the bugs and about the missing stuff from 2.5.. Because the update brings only new sets/gears in CS and some in game, no new instances, no new skills, nothing new that wouldn't bring $$$ to his pocket.
