Mission: Keeping new players around

How often do new players ask you for kinah? I bet it's quite often ("SIR! kinah! sir! sir! plzzzzzz.")

I'm quite positive that most leave after their first few days because it is quite hard to obtain decent armor anymore. You really need to be extremely lucky to find a group on their way to Dark Poeta or BT willing to accept a new player with 3 pieces of armor and a candlestick as a weapon. However, I have a fix.

Open a shop at the starting point that sells tahabata weapons and anuhart armor for 1 kinah each.

This would give players a nice start and a very comforting welcome to Gamez. Obviously, the item.pak needs to be modified to prevent those items from being extracted.

I thought this was a great idea to keep players around longer and and increase the Gamez server population. If you have any other suggestions, feel free to post. =)

Edit: So far, we know that whatever item that is decided will be sold in the shop, should be un-sellable, un-tradable, and un-destroyable.

 

imo i think this is a very good idea ofc it wont be done.

 

Thats actually....a pretty good idea man...but.......your right most people that go to DP and BT dont want people with no gear with them, they want somebody that can actually kill + since DP has been screwed up...taha and anuhart has.....dissapeared....? yah....I agree Risen..this is a great idea to bad..it probably wont happen.

I myself (eat gear witih fused weps) would actually enjoy having a few taha weps and anuhart again make me feel like a noob again

Good idea but more than likely will not happen....

 

its a good IDEA but heres why i wouldnt do it. 1 guy would take it all, ending up helping only 1 guy. Then if that guy doesnt like the server or rage quits for wahtever reason its useless. So your response is "just trade it manually to players" well once again some guy will just make lots of alts and trade u

Just have an unlimited amount.

 

The solution to that is...dont put a purchase limit on it..or if you have to then...yah...make it 1 piece of armor per char per day and 2 weps or something

 

As soon as The new Item.pack arrives I Will open a personal store selling Taha's for a very small amount of kinah don't worry Affordable price

 

i hate to say .. i disagree
when this suggestion happens
it will be sad, no more shouts like "kinah please" "do you have armor for me sir/maam?"

 

One person would buy all of your stuffs.

 

and thats bad? u know how annoying it is to get constantly spammed in panda/sanctum by starters saying KINAH PLZ SIR ITEMS MASTER?!? PLZ SIR POOR it would definatlly help to have a vendor of some sort that sells starting armors such as Anuhart/Besh and weps like anuhart...

 

1kinah for 1 taha weapon? or anu armor?
and sell them to hundred k's each
kinah will be useless in game

edit: and it will be evilset's another problem again, editing is not just easy...

 

Make them un-sellable, it's pretty easy.

 

Risen i really do like your idea and the ideas you have to go along with it, Yes it would be a wonderful idea to make them like 1 kinah each and make it where you can't sell them back this would stop the problem of just..practically "duping" your kinah if you have all day to no life in front of a NPC..(sadly some people do) but yes..if this was actually put into gamez..it would be...pretty helpful for the whole community imo..

 

Agreed, but make it have some limitations (like a piece a day), that's going to keep the new players around for at least a week before they decide whether it's leaving time or not.

 

or just fix DP with drops?

I dont want to hear the argument DP is too hard, All old players did it to get multiple sets for all our chars, its part of starting out. I dont think free DP gear is a good idea, Just fix DP

 

Newbies will have to get someone who knows how it works to guide them.


And none that I know will be helping them, since Taha to them is like Lake drops to newbies.
