    Does it do that every time you try to connect? Or just occasionally? I know with Win7, my launcher does that occasionally, and all I have to do is try it again.

    If it does that every time, I'd recommend using the .BAT file here. Unzip it, and put that file in your Aion folder, then use that to launch the game.
