    Well i want to try my first class here in Gamez and Aion: Chanter

    But its been like 1 year since the last time i play with a chanter as a main. And i need some updates about builds and maybe some combos :p

    So whats the best manastones build for a Solo chanter? Crit till 540-550 and then attack? Or Magic Accuracy/Accuracy?

    What about Group Chanter? a Mr set would be good? with shield+mace?

    Btw i only have EGT Set and ABG Crit/Magic jewerly.

    Its Yamennes+abg staff a good weapon? Whats the best staff combination?

    Thx in adviced <3

    Personally I find that in gamezaion that survivability is MUCH more preferable over attack, especially for a class like the chanter.

    Although, if you did want the most powerful of solo capability (offensive) chanters I'd say slot up accuracy and attack (and very sparingly critical strike), although attack in itself is pretty moot since buffs do not improve upon the slotted attack a chanter can put in. And accuracy can be buffed by abilities like <Word Of Inspiration I>. But, of course, accuracy would be manditory to slot in due to many block/parry/evasion builds running about.

    But, as I said before, a defensive build would probably go father.

    I'd personally pick up a shield + EXTENDABLE MACE and slot it in with a silence godstone (to silence all casters who would -potentially- have more Magic ACcuracy than your M.R. with this build). I'd put block stones into the shield/mace and then keep my main ABG chain to be Magic Resistance as that is a very useful stat.

    Pros of this? Most casters will be indefinately screwed agianst you and miss a lot of the time, not quite so much as the full M.R. build players, but definately enough to mess them about. Silence godstone will also help fill-in the cracks, especially considering how the chanter has Inesccapable judgement and Mountain crash to hit them from afar as well, extendable mace increases this range furthermore. The chanter class also posesses a longer-range slow spell, which helps catching them too!

    Now the block and parry to help seal out melee's is the crutch to this build. Block and Parry are both subsidized by <Shield Mantra> and <Word Of Protection I>, That boost parry skill... w/e its called raises parry by 300 points. Essentially, these buffs can be kept up without failure. You may need to slot a bit more parry and block if you feel the need to.

    Now, in patching more holes to completion.... Elemental Resistance is VERY EASY for a chanter to obtain... consumables such as Dragon Kings blah blah blah (I like the salad personally myself) add +60 elemental resistance and that is -6% magic damage taken. And the Dragon Kings Dalad adds +60 M.R. as well, buffering up and making up for the M.R. lost due to slotting other stones.

    Add in Blessing of Rock + 50 E.R.

    Fine X proof scrolls + 100 E.R.

    -WoP +100 E.R.

    -Passive +30 E.R.

    -And the Elemental Screen +200 E.R.

    Essentially when stakcing all of this elemental resistance stuff, one can EASILY obtain -60% caster damage. Meaning if a sorc was to hit you for 10k (no doubt a fatal blow) it would only hit you for 4K.... essentially this + ABG gear -pvp damage taken = MAJOR cock blocker!

    Then chanter has other buffs such as that -~48% incoming damage for 10seconds which helps the chanter survive attacks....

    Another thing to consider having would be a Mastarius Staff fused with an ABG staff which has in itself magic resistance stones fully so you can easily burst down casters.

    Critical strike shouldn't be an issue.... those +120crit strike scrolls and the dragon kings savoury food adds +60 or so crit.... add quick mantra swapping and etc, should not be an issue :3

    Hope this helps!

    Edit: thinking more about the weapons.... and armors. Maybe you would want to obtain multiple sets, like use one EAT set or EGT set and slot it full of block/parry, have an ABG for M.R. and another EAT or EGT for accuracy.

    And maybe you could be multiple staffs... such as one that is a extendable fused to an EAT or EGT staff with a silence GS and magic resistance, one that is not extendable and is masta + ABG with a blind for bursting down melee's. Hmmm D: many combinations possible D:

    Solo Chanter :

    Mkay, so you won't really need to socket Acc if you use Mastarius/ABG Staff, considering you'll already get about 2.3k acc with that, plus word of inspiraiton which will bring it up to 2.4k. The only thing that's useful for is to get through block/parry builds, but it's pretty pointless considering not everyone is block/parry. I have two sets, one is MR, which I still manage a good 700 attack, and 600 crit (With crit scrolls) and manage 2k MR. My other set is full attack/crit, which I manage 800 attack and 900 crit. I also keep a Mace and Shield as offhand which gives more MR and enables me to tank a little more, as well as an Extendable staff, in case someone happens to be faster than me.

    The only time you'd really need to socket acc, is if your Acc is really low, like if you're using Lannok, or something similar to that, in which has low acc.

    Group Chanter :

    Honestly, I don't know much about group Chanters, for I've always been a solo chanter. But when I'm in a group for Dredge on Retail, I off heal, in case the Cleric is in a situation where he can't really heal, or if he's healing too slow. I mostly pvp, but I also keep a steady eye on the group in case I'm needed. Or you could just be a plain ol' boring support chanter, that stands around with a mace and sheild, and just buffs everyone, off heals, and Ij's once in a while. But that's pretty idiotic considering we were given good DPS.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Oh right, forgot to add. No offense to Aegis, but by socketing Block/Parry/etc, your damage, as well as MR goes terribly down, meaning it'll take take you 5 times as long to kill someone, which by then, they could have called a Legion-mate, or a friend, or even a zerg to come and help kill you. So, it won't really work to your advantage as a solo Chanter and it just makes you a semi-worthless DPS class, whereas, you could roll a Cleric and be better at this roll.
    I would highly recommend Mres stones. No matter what class you are it's always fun when a caster tries to spam their spells and all you see are RESIST RESIST RESIST popping up.
