I've posted in the ban appeals section, and still nothing has come of it. I was told by a forum mod to post here until something is done and I can get Carl's attention. My situation needs support and action, so please do not close my thread, I have approval from other admins. Thanks.


Situation:

My IP has been banned due to using a command on the test server that was never stated not to use.

I would like my IP restored to my private server account. I've posted in the Ban Appeals section and still nothing has happened, there is now about 2 pages of unanswered appeals atm. I was told to post here to get people's attention on the matter. I need Carl's attention most. Your support is greatly appreciated, because this ban is redonkulous. Thanks.

P.S: This was also done to a friend of mine who was also on the server and used the same command and was IP banned as well

 

Try Contacting Evilset. He is more active i think and he can help you too.

You can easily change your IP, if it's only the IP that has been banned.

Lol change his ip while the admins may not want to unban him and get banned again?
Not a good idea x-x what he's doing is better. I know that it's really boring and annoying but it's the safe way.
Even if carl would unban him , perhaps changing his ip to unban himself would result in carl getting mad at him and banning his account too because he would be "unbanning himself without permission" lawl

Evilset was the dev I was working with on the test server. He won't respond to me anymore.

I've given it some thought, but I want to do the right thing and be unbanned correctly.

 

Just saying it was an option. Though a lot of people have dynamic IPs or play from several different places.

Why would you even use a command like that on purpose, without realizing that someone may get pisst o.o?

Not trying to be a dick or anything, but really....

 

I was given access to the test server, given all admin commands and told to test things out.

Restarting/refreshing a server that no one plays on and is used for data testing is bad? Would have been nice for someone to relay that information to me BEFORE it happens.

I was thinking all the time that you didn't know that command would work...
Restarting a server could reset many settings changed by evilset >.>' if i was in his place , and if u would've ruined my work , i'd perma ban u maybe XD

I had no confirmation that any command would actually WORK. //makemegod could work, but I had no idea. I used the restart server command. Did I know what it actually does? Did I know that it would reset settings or erase some data? NO, otherwise I wouldn't have used it! That's my entire point! I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS WRONG OR WHAT IT ACTUALLY DID BESIDES RESTART/REFRESH THE SERVER.
