Making Wings Customizable

I believe that we should be able to customize our own wings so people wont look the same with wings. Like we should be able to design our own wings and color them the way we want. Also maybe put insignias on them. Just thinking. Any1 else like this.

 

i like the way you think Eon and i would support this, but im not sure how the gm`s could do that, but it`s a great idea

 

how can we do this if retail aion does not allow this?? legion embelems are for customization as are stigmas. One which no one wants to work, and the other which will never work.

 

Hopefully we will have alot of ppl to like this and maybe gms might think about it.

 

eon, how could they possibly do it? There is no option on retail. So how could they do it here. They can only spawn certain wings. cloaks r the parts that should be customizable for looks and remodel system

Bullshit, I am the first person to say I want them to work.

Apart from that, I beleive this is a system that has been long needed for Aion. Sure, we may have great customization on the character's; but when flight is such an integral engine for pvp the wing's should be taken into consideration as well.

Doing this would require a patch.

You can always probably find some type of model editing program and edit wings to however you possibly want them to look, but it would only apply to your client and I highly doubt it would go public seeing as its client modification and infringes on copyright.

Gms could copy a wing set, rename it, modify it a bit and change the looks. It could be a donor/voter option?

I'll repeat myself :c

1) It requires a patch. If you didn't pick up what I was implying when I said this, basically I meant "patches are a pain in the ass to apply and most players don't want to go to a server that you have to patch for because well, its extra effort and people want to instantly play". It would be something we would need to completely add to the client.

2) It infringes on copyright because it is client modification. Servers that do this have been known to be shut down and sued across several different games due to things like these. Not even making custom mobs because thats simple and its more database than client. When you mess with the client though, you piss off people that actually made the game.
One person doing this is feasible, because that person is editing their own client and they don't even have to tell anyone they did it.
An entire server doing it? Say goodbye to Gamez, and be sure to visit Carl when he goes to jail.

Yes, but its not an offense that really gets persued after near as much as "sorry dudes, we took your game and changed it a bit to add cool features, we're making a bit of money off of it in the process, don't mind us"
