Magic resist vs HP (Sorcerer PVP)

Hi,

Since MR is again working I would like to know how many of you prefer MR, why is it good and how many of you prefer HP manastones. Please give me details as much as possible.

I think 2000+ MR is pretty good vs magic skills.

Had a gladi fully decked in 55 chain with mresist stacked and lakhanes helm. It was absolutely amazing. A little hp wont save you from glacial shard or shadow/lightburst, but that definitely will. Sorcs were so easy, I could give them a head start. Clerics almost never touched me. Never got to fight a GOOD SM, but all the ones I fought I could kill with ease AS A GLADI. This can be only done through the 55 chain set, and once armsfusion, +14 mresist stones, and 7 slot 55 armor is added, you will be sooo Happy you went with mresist. And it has yet to work against magical debuffs, but when it does you will be amazed at it. Definitely mresist if you have a 55 chain set.

 

For True PvPers that know their class 100% but mostly for Clerics/Chanters MR build is the best PvP build.

 

A cleric in anu won't have high enough mresist to resist shit. Hes talking about 2k mresist which is gotten throuh the 55 chain. Your macc won't be high enough to touch his. But then again, on gamez sorcs do have all adv stigmas giving them buffs they should not have with certain skills. That 1k macc buff might hurt during duels, but in pvp, a lot of sorcs forget to pop it, giving you a great advantage.

 

Making set Just for 2 or 3 classes is the worst choice. And even if you say you have 2 sets there is no way that in real PVP you will have time to change the set (even with macro) till you change the set you will already be dead.

And for sorcerers even if you go MR build you are One Buff away from dieing fast.

 

A) Its your normal set. Chain has higher HP than plate, and p def is pointless in AION. thus, you can use it normally. You don't need an extra 2k hp or 300 damage. mresist is much more beneficial, and once it is fixed, will work well vs pretty much every class.

B) That buff is largely unused in pvp. Its used in duels once people realize which set your using, but not in pvp. And in group vs group it probably will never be used. its a beneficial set. And if stigmas are ever fixed, its viability will just go up.

 

I personally always use the buff in Grp pvp especially if im about to Burst spells from fast cast.

Also the moment i see that someone resists the first spell i immidiatelly Pop the buff.

Its just about the way you play dude. But im sure that set will work against noobs etc. But it surely wont against experienced retail players. For the only reason that almost everyone in retail is dressed with MR sets. Even Rangers and Sins. Plus that MR works better on retail. so with 1900 MR you can resist every normally casted spell. (depending on enemies Mac ofc)

 

Group v group is too hectic, and if u didnt pop it and target the right person, it usually is too late. MR is bugged here, but is still very viable. Theres a lot to be fixed though, and once it is, MR's viability (on that chain set) goes through the roof. And to be honest, that skill demonstrates another pitfall of breaking the stigma system.

kill lakhane. I got it in crystal. IDK if its in gamez yet. lakhane spawns every 2hrs, but spawns twice. It is so damn easy to farm. We had over 20 in our legion in 1 day
