Old School Video Games - Name Yours

    Not sure how many of you can remember these games but I just wanted to share some (not all) of my favorite Old School games.

    I'm excluding Zelda, Metroit, Final Fantasy, Mario, etc... because they're mostly known by a lot of people now days due to the amount of newly released titles.

    If you have any titles you'd like to share even if that includes Zelda, metroit, etc.. feel free to share =)


    Charater(s): Fox's Crew
    Game: Star Fox
    Console: SNES
    Reason: Because I could never understand a word they said but he still sounded cool anyway, along with the amazing SNES 3D!!.

    Character(s): Scorpion, Jax, Mileena.
    Game: Mortal Kombat II
    Console: SNES/Genesis
    Reason:
    Who didn't go around shouting "C'mon Here" "Get Over Here" ?
    One black guy amidst mistycal creatres and asians, that's gasta.
    Sexy yet the most horrifying thing imaginable not to mention Teleporting!

    Game: Crono Trigger
    Character: Crono and Lucca
    Console: SNES
    Reason: Crono and Lucca
    Everyone was hooked on Dragon Ball at some point and coming from the same artist that designed the dragon ball characters, Crono was just the right character to place in the game. Lucca's fighting style T.T

    Game: CONTRA
    Character: NO frigging idea what their name was.
    Console: NES
    Reason: Give me an "A", give me a "B", give me an "S"... Oh I got the S... Game Over *****es.

    Game: Double Dragon II
    Character: No clue o.o
    Console: NES

    Reason: Probably one of the best co-op games for NES, nothing better than beating up mobs to save a girl.
    Oh I almost forgot, this was so co-op that you will literally DP your enemy o_O

    Game: River City Ransom
    Character: Alex and Ryan
    Console: NES

    Reason: This game was probably an RPG but it was a real kickass RPG/Fighting Game. 2 guys beating up school gangs all over River City. Shops, food, drinks, sub bosses, bosses... The School level... Alex and Ryan are as badass as they come. Oh and this two guys are like the BBF's Forever! I mean really, Alex tags along to beat up all of these gangs just to save Ryan's Girlfriend? Alex is da' bomb.

    Game: Excite Bike
    Character: The Biker Dude lol
    Console: NES
    Reason: They let you make your own obstacle course? for real? kickass Spinning tricks? I'm a Blue Character? <= C'mon now, that's just greatness.

    Game: Skate Or Die
    Character: Once again, no clue.
    Console: NES
    Reason: Let me put it simple, Tony Hawk got NOTHING on this dude. I mean NOTHING!!
    Do I need to mention the flashing title name on the intro screen along with the cool song "Skate, Or Die... Skate Or Die... Di Di Di Di Diiiiieeeee" lol

    I used to play NBA JAM *echoes Jam..* on the Arcades, I was so addicted to it that I used to skip school sometimes just go to play it lol. Shit that game got me into so much trouble as a kid.

    Redcox i think you are old,how old are you? Those games are pretty old and i dont think the people here will know them. I am 22 years old and i almost missed all these awesome games,even though i have to say contra was one of my favorite games when i was 5 or so..I remember contra-super mario-TANKS! Street fighter- Sonic- flintstones on sega saturn. But aside of nintendo sega atari and such old consoles i spent my childhood playing playstation (1). My favorite games were The resident evil,the metal gear solid. Twisted metal,tekken,"fox" bandicoot,Mortal combat sub-zero. DOOM! Abes exodus. Pro evolution soccer. Bomberman fantasy race. And others. To be honest i still have my playstation 1 games as well as the console itself. It still works. Even though last time i played was with my wife,we play the porsche challenger.. Nice memories dude,nice thread :]

    Brick Game, Super Mario, Excite Bike, Pacman, and this game being played in Family computer.. A girl in a circus, riding a.. I don't what creature and all you have to do is to help the girl jump successfully over the obstacles. I forgot the name of that game :p
