Help Alente, Win a Prize :o - Launcher

OK I lied about the prize part, well I might send you an undisclosed amount of Kinah from my player account (tip: it's 1 kinah) but while you're here how about helping me debug this little issue I'm having.

Now since 2.5 system.ovr no longer works so we have to use custom launchers to get devmode working to enable freefly and chat logging (which I like to use!) however a couple people including myself are getting some strange behaviour with this.

Using this launcher to boot my game it's running fine but freefly still doesn't work anywhere and the chat log isn't enabled. If I attempt to run the .bat file as Administrator I get "Windows cannot find bin32\aion.bin" which is weird since it's in the root Aion directory and launches the game fine not as admin.

I've also downgraded as per the instructions in this thread to 2.5.0.3 and while the game runs fine chat logging and freefly aren't working.

 

Some people qq that the downgrade didn't work for them Oo. But.. but.. I just archived mine p.p; there's no way it doesn't work

Edit: Plus, that custom launcher (which Duna linked) simply has DEVMODE parameters in it. Well, you'll have to make the downgrade work somehow and use that one, I'd assume it's gonna work

 

Downgraded fine, by the looks of it, game works just the freefly/chat logging isn't ;p

 

Try putting this in a .BAT file and using this to launch.

There are some zones in Heiron, where originally your client won't let you fly in, but you actually can. Plus, when you chase someone in those areas, him having g_freefly is an advantage as you're being stopped by the barrier, he continues and in a matter of time his wings get crashed.

 

Incorrect, tell that to the elyos buzzing around my kisk on their wings. >.< i wish my freefly worked

 

I used duna's launcher and it works fine for me
But I guess the free fly is for AM only.

 

my chat logging works too from that downgrade but not the free-fly part. I know only that Lumiel has no more free-fly.

 

So Alente is back now, I have really been gone for awhile. I know I'm so late but welcome back ^^

Removing java variables from my system environment settings fixed it for some reason oO
