I get this lame error when I'm trying to install the launcher. It starts loading and gets stuck @ 2/10 of the bar.
Tried running it in administrator mode , same error.

Ok, try uninstalling the entire thing that may have already downloaded if you havent already. Then restart your computer and try again. Make sure you restart your computer before trying again and are you downloading straight from NcSofts website?

here's what i found and what might cause the error.
"The error was being returned on machines that were corrupted. Some tech had manually registered some files incorrectly which hosed Windows. So if you get this error, your Windows OS probably needs to be repaired or re-installed. "

@nymphette I downloaded the launcher from Gamez-aion's link which yea , leads to ncsoft official site. I also tried installing it in Safe Mode but doesn't work.
    @daax That's just lame , I'll try repairing it.
Btw , what if I download the client from some torrent or something then apply the gamez patch? Will I be able to play it?

    1. In run type dcomcnfg.exe and from the console select computers, my computer and right click it for properties, there you will find permissions, check if its ok or just click the default.

    2. Try bcdedit.exe /set nx OptOut to reset your settings then:

    1. Click Start
    2. Select Control Panel
    3. Select System
    4. Click the Advanced tab
    5. In the Performance region select Settings
    6. Click the Data Execute tab in the dialog box that opens
    7. Select Turn on DEP for all programs and services except for those I select
    8. Click Add.
    9. The open dialog box opened. I Browsed to the AION install file.
    10. Click Open
    11. Click Apply
    12. Click Ok
    13. Reboot

First didn't work , I think i ****ed up some shit in there because now I can't modify DEP , those 2 lil circles are faded and I can't select either of them.

Anyways **** it , I'm reinstalling w7 I remember I changed some .ocx dll files , tried to reigster some and it didn't go. I'll let you know if it works after re-installing , kudos to each of you for trying to help me , really appreciate it.
