Outfit of chars not showing up on select character window

Ok is not a big deal im just curious why this happens. Sometimes in the select char window, gear of some chars are partialy or complitely gone. For example My sorc right now look naked (no gear just initial noob clothes), and a couple of days ago my templar was without boots xD is pretty crazy hehe. anyways any idea why does that happens?

 

my guess is the game takes a snapshot of your gear at different times, so if you are switching parts or taking them off at that moment you wont have them. then again, the char selection screen has been known to show wrong gears for a long time, does it to all of us

 

For the headgear, there's no known fix. NCsoft made chars have their faces viewable on character selection screen. For the rest, click Select Server in the lower left corner, and then re-choose Siel/Lumiel. That updates the gear of the chars shown

 

been gone for a long time, did they fix the d/c glitch on server selection yet? its the one thing i avoided doing since ud get even 9 d/cs in a row when switching servers before it worked once

 

Never happened for me, but in IA it's just like that! You can't freaking switch from one server to another --'

 

it used to happen on this server a lot, kinda why i stopped playing both servers and came back to siel but yea, i havent played for a while now so idk if its fixed yet

anyways the 2 common ways to get past that
1. keep trying till it works
2. wait on the server select screen for bout 10 mins (i guess afk there, adieu told me it worked for her when she was a gm here)

 

I don't think you should've waited 10 minutes. If you think about it, you enter the GameServer when you pick one. And you send a disconnection packet when you click on Select Server in character selection. So to me, the only problem would be if you try to reconnect right after you left (and the packet was still sending to the server).

 

i know that helm doesnt show up to show chars faces. and re-selecting server do not work, the missing gears still there. this morning my char was naked, a few mins ago she had the skirt xD but nothing more lol....

 

im not trying to logically justify it merely stating what worked in practice lol. urs sounds alright, the problem is that a packet doesnt send for this long when according to my ping it takes around 0.25 seconds and i get the d/c msg even if i wait for lets say a minute. also im not the only1 who used to get this. but yeah idk if it still does it
