Please help me which class to choose!

Hi! I'm currently an unlucky ranger as I found out I don't like this class at all.

I actually don't like nothing that is squishy. That leaves me to choose between chanter, cleric, glad and temp.

This is, I won't go cleric, as my bro is one. So I'm looking for a nice class to suit well with cleric.

As much as I've seen any EAT geared chanter with pvp accessories and abg staff, they pwn hard. I wasn't able to beat anyone with my ranger, but I guess I'm just noob with ranger. I really don't know how to play this class and I hate it. And I'm EAT +15 set and ABG bow +15.

Second thing - I like Templar a lot - big meatshield and decent dmg with ABG GS to kill someone aswell xD

Gladiator - seems like a very nice class to play, but I'm afraid there are so many glads around that competition will be big.

Now, please advice me - which one of these tree classes to go with? I like them all around the same, so I can freely choose which to go. I have them all on lvl55 so I tried them all too.

The only thing is, I'm not VIP so I'll have to w8 for 15 days to trade my ranger stuff for one of these chars stuff. Unless someone is up for a trade :O

So, any advices?

Another thing that seems very important for me to say is that my ping is usually around 250-300, but varies from 150-550 - but average is 250-300. Maybe this will help.

 

This decision is hard, it depends. what style do you like to play?
A chanter can be god in pvp, but its very different from a gladiator, for exemple.
Do you like to heal or to deal massive damage?

 

from the ones you mentioned the easiest you can start with is gladiator, and from there you can start learning the others, gladiators are meant to finish their opponents as fast as possible (quoted from fadetoblack's guide btw) and they are really fun to play if you ask me.

 

Sorcerers/Spiritmasters/Templars are the Best.

 

Duo Clerics > Rape all in pvp

Dont expect to be a chanter and make many kills,yeah you can kill some people but its not really the killer type,same goes for the cleric. Glad in the other hand is the killer machine but i agree with you that there are so many glads out there,even i started playing my glad lately. Templars are hard,what i mean is that if you become a good templar you can have as many kills as a glad..but believe me its a hard class probably the hardest of all,its "low damage"and non aoe skills wont allow you achieve kills easily but once you learn you will be a god in the arena..

I told you which are the options,and no im not telling you to go templar,when you pick a templar you will understand exactly what i meant when i said that you are gonna need time and patience to become good. You ll be probably running around with a templar and being a noob for at least few months.

Btw i have a ranger with egt set and abg bow and i can rape most of the people in an 1vs1 battle,i think you are using wrong setup or skills..

Cause they are not..If you want to actually kill someone you need to wear a magic accuracy set and staff because everyone is running around with resist sets today.. Clerics dont have aoe skills,their weapons dont add casting time and same goes for the chain gloves,the attacks are slow and meant to take their time before they put someone down,clerics are real strong,but they are just not the fast killers..

 

Fast maybe not, but a good cleric can easily 4vs1 and kill all 4.

Well, I'd go cleric, but I already gave all my cleric gear to my bro, so I'd need lot's of time and instancing to get a new set of gear back.

Yes, I like to take opponents down fast (ranger), but also like a good HP pool and defense (definately not ranger heh), so my survivability isn't that shit compared to ranger. I tried all kinds of stigma skill sets for my ranger, maybe spent 10k+ stigma shards for experimenting with skills already, but I just can't get a feel of it. Seems like ranger is not a class for me. I actually like to run in a group of elys and dps/tank them out. So I GLADLY trade some of my ranger DPS to gain some tankiness.

So, despite the heavy number of glads (which I hope it'll drop as it's really annoying seeing every second char being a glad) I think I'll go glad as I found out that my bro has a full anu +15 set (which I hope it'll do until I get VIP to trade EAT leather for plate) and then probably switching templar when I'll have enough ABG parts to trade for ABG shield, sword and GS.

Btw: I've seen some cleric+glad duo already in heiron few days ago, both full ABG I suppose, and they raped the whole zerg This is pretty OP if u ask me :O

To sum up: I'm going glad, then, when I collect abg shield+sword+GS I'll roll a templar I guess. Sounds like a reasonable thing to do, as I'll have EAT plate in my house already ^^ And Templar is much more close to me than glad I guess this has to do with my first ever retail pick (back in 1.5) which was a templar, and I still fricking love this class I literally fell in love with templar on the first glance which didn't happen with none of other classes.

Edit: Ok, I'm going templar. This thing has such potential...

I was dueling my pt member templar, who had elder GS and some s.h.i.t eq with s.h.i.t accessories and I had lvl 30 pvp accessory and anuhart +15 - he obliterated me like - he had 80% of his hp left at the end of the duel. That solved my doubt about going templar, and now I'm really looking forward to playing a temp ^^
