Slotted Manastone Reset/Wipe

The great thing about being an unknown is that you can slip in and out of guilds undetected. I've been doing this since I've noticed a few suspicious people lurking around in game.

Everyone remembered that time when you encountered chanters and clerics who had so much parry/block and magic resist at the same time? You couldn't stun them at all. Yet they still have so much m. accuracy to land every debuff on you. Templars who block and resist everything you throw at them even when you've taken off their buffs? Or glads who resist so much he might as well be using mastariux cloth slotted with MR.

Well I've been snooping around various groups and you'd be surprised how many people are using this exploit. I first heard it from a player. And so I began investigating various hacking sites and I found that there is indeed a tool to help exploit the manastone socketing system. It could let you socket almost unlimited amounts of manastones on your gear. Almost, because it is only limited by well, the amount of manastones you have and the chance to fail.

What does this mean? It means you can socket all the MR you want on one part of your gear and all the MA or Block or whatever it is you want on another. What you end up with is a godly character that people barely notice.

The good news is, a couple of days after the exploit went public, Evilset managed to patch it. But...

What about those who already exploited before that and are still running around with OP stats? The patch didn't fix their stats. It only prevented them from socketing more than the usual 6 slots. They are still out there hiding amongst the legit players.

So I suggest a manastone wipe on all gears. This would be fair don't you think?

Sure it would be an pain in the ass to farm all those manastones again but, would you rather keep your manastones knowing somebody out there has OP stats which you will definitely encounter one day or have it all wiped and begin a new, more balanced server?

If the admins can come up with a much better solution, that would be fantastic.

But for now, what do you think?

well i only agree cuz theres some manastones with mr +300 around idk how that turned out gms were investigating

 

I totally agree with this, Several PLayers of our server exploited this and now are running around like Jesus.

 

calith was banned because of introducing the word cheat* but not with ubber stats.

+300 MR manastone does not add MR to your stats.

 

Well, I once encountered an SM who managed to land on me every single buff (while my mr was about 2.2k) and yet I couldn't land a single hit on him. I first thought he had two sets, one socketed with MA and the other with MR, but now that I read this, I feel so innocent u.u Sadly I can't remember his name.

I agree that these players must be dealt with... But it wouldn't be fair to all those players who haven't done anything wrong and must undergo the trouble of farming and socketing their manastones all over again, just for a few that have exploited this hack. Personally, I wouldn't like it at all.

 

Me too. I don't wanna farm manastones all over again. But I still do wish for things to be a bit more balanced again. And I know there are still players running around with OP stats from this exploit.

 

yes i forgot the name of this sm i believe i have encounter him b4 and hes full mr yet he lands hits on u i thought he had 2 sets but thats still to be proven so i didnt report him.

 

Think about the massive flame/rage threads if this is carried out. Punishing all the Gamez population just because of a few that have exploited this seems to me more unfair and unbalanced than letting them 'be'. And by letting them be, I mean making this exploit well-known (I, for one, haven't heard of it before) and reporting those who seem suspicious, and then have someone check their stats.

I really don't like getting pwned by this people in game, but I don't believe generalizing the measure to all players is fair.

Thanks , Am totally agree , farming manastones not that hard , better than see some OP stats , such as a templar who blocked all my attacks Lol and a cleric who got crazy MA and MR . Thanks for the suggestion .

 

Even though I made the suggestion, I do agree with you. This seems more like a last resort. I do hope the admins find a better solution to this.

I remember this one time..... a templar from sex or die legion.... he was alone half the full HP... no bufs just running scroll... I started buffing.. when im in full buff... i bursted out that temp.. like WTH?....... hes HP cant seem to move... ew its like he got 100k hp..... ( HE GOT NO BUFFS OR HEALERS AROUND)

 

Please do this. Sometimes I wonder how can some resist almost every spell I threw yet is able to to succesfully land a spell in a MR set players w/out using MA buffs.

Just months ago I stumbled on a Mastarius sword with 6 Manastones in it but it only have 5 slots. I even posted it in the forums but some says it was a bug and no one even bothered to check it. Still this proves that something of this scale of hax/bug is happening and a fair Manastone wipe would suffice to give everyone a fair chance.

 

Exactly. A super last resort. If we as players contribute reporting, and the staff does its job, it shouldn't be necessary at all :>

i think it depends on the player on what manastones should he use. its like a strategy game. you dont always win all the time.

 

some clerics. really have high MR... plus!.. do block and parries.... ...how can u explain tat? xD

Uhm clerics uses a Mace and a shield and not an Orb. Shield and Mace/Staff gives Parry/Block .
