Strike Resist still hasn't been fixed, huh?

After being crit on by nearly every single attack an elyos gladiator "Moxxie" hit me with and nearly being wowed with how they took my HP down faster than 3 ABG glads smacking away at me earlier... I just thought either (1) strike resist is broken (2) they must be using a modification thing.

Being the gentle-hearted and absolutely not cold-hearted to the core cynical person I really am not, I assumed that strike resist was broken and this fine young person wasn't hacking.

Pls fix.

 

I'm going in game just to test this and besides, is not like we gave Alente or Evilset a fix for this. I think if we decide to post about a problem we should at least provide them information on a possible solution.

Two points:

(1): Critical strike had a cap of being able to occur a maximum of 44% of the time.

As in, 4 times in a row like what I screenshotted? NOT POSSIBLE.

(2): Critical strike works such that.


Say I have 399 (which I do posess) strike resist with scroll and all of my +15 ABG set.

This 339 is subtracted from the opponents critical strike.

Meaning to have the chance to crit on me 44% of the time you would NEED a MINIMUM of 839 critical strike.

839-399 = 440

It was a gladiator and a templar lol.

But this glad -raises eyebrows-

 

what if he got more.

1.2k - 399 = (801 - 440) = 361 / 2 ~ 18% + 44% = 62%

Soft Cap 440, Hard Cap 700+ something.

but still raises a big question for having 100%

but all stats are server side computed... maybe luck?

 

A person having moar then 800 crit strike ?

Rare.... but its possible if he forsakes all forms of MR/Accuracy/attack and just slots crit.


But these full MR ABG gladiators should have piss poor accuracy and crit strike rate lol.

 

I was fighting an MR glad, was hitting higher than me, while I had 900 Attack and like 700 crit e.e Rather a pain, but whatever.
