Can I... (I need some high ranked people to post here as well as us "normal")

Well, since I don't have a card I can't buy myself TF2 Premium account thingy, so I thought I could change 5$ from a credit card to 10$ donated to the guy/girl's account. I was wondering if this is still RMT, since well, if I don't do the trade, server doesn't get his money (And I don't buy items with the credits and trade to guy/girl, I donate into HIS/HER account).


So, is this allowed?

 

Wouldn't think so since donating to their account is basically paying them for the TF2 thing, not items in-game. But, those are just my thoughts, I don't think there's any rule against it.

 

Well, I need to advertise it on forums, which if it's against the rules might get me banned. That's why I need to make sure xD.

 

My personal opinion would be no. Though someone used to do that in the past, and got banned. I don't know what he got banned for, but I know he was advertising that and was banned not long after. ;o

I would PM Bella, and Lautaro. They'd probably have more reliable answers.

 

This is a tricky 1 but i would say it is most likely not allowed. Since you are dealing with the in game economy and mixing it with something that is out of the game. I would wait for more responses and see how the others look at this. But in my opinion it is something that can be classified as RMT.

 

I could do that, but I want to see the thoughts of those who SHOULD matter to the server, which is the players.

Sadly, this comes off like RMT to me. Remember those Philippines guys that tried to sell things in-game for credits in another game? Mods didn't like it so much.

 

I still think it's different, he's not selling in-game items for other stuff, he's donating to someone's account (which may as well be personal, not even related to GamezAion for all they care, they're still getting paid). As for advertising it on the forums, I think that you will need to go to a higher rank than I to ask that question.

 

Seems too much like a RMT Dranny, likely wouldnt be allowed.

This really depends on your perspective, on one hand you're trading for items outside of our servers which we don't look fondly upon yet on the other hand it's not actually money changing hands.

I'm going to go ahead and say no to this. While it's not a clearcut definition of RMT it's far too close to that "gray zone" for me to be comfortable with, permitting this sort of trading on our forums would be a very slippery slope indeed.

Such offers made on our forums or ingame will be treated as real money transactions.
