    is what i'm trying to solve...i've been trying to fix my friends computer for 2 days now and haven't been able to solve this, i need somebody who knows what they're talking about

    Has anyone had this problem? Solutions?

    It might be one of these things.
    1. You are trying to run the 64 bit client on 32 or vise versa.
    2. Your UAC is blocking something. Try turning of your UAC.
    3. Direct X is outdated or too updated. (Yes it can be too updated) ^_^
