Lag Question.

Hey , I have a friend , who lags a bit , and sometimes he teleports backwards, It's lag. Sometimes on a duel , I see him going infront , But then he is already on my back , If you know what i mean. And that's lag. Is that banable?

Depends on the person reporting him and what kind of proof is given but i wouldn't think so.. .. but we'd have to see a video to completely sure..

 

Imagine, flying , Sometimes I'm following him , and he teleports back like 10m or 15. Or something like that. It's lag , He already asked me that a few times , cuz some folks already called him hacker , I just want to be sure if it's not.

 

happened that to me few times in pvp... its laging i think

 

If you, fraps or xfire it, its hard to give an official answer with out visually able to see it.

 

It's called rollback, I used to get it.

Happened when I was trying to kill this Cleric who kept teleporting all around, but it was really just his horrid wi-fi connection that made him roll back 24/7, so Alente couldn't and didn't ban him.

 

Its actually called rubberbanding.Rubberbanding occurs when the prediction software gets predictions wrong. Basically, your computer thinks you're in one spot when the server thinks you're in another spot. What you see on your screen is only an assumption until the server decides to correct it.

 

It shouldn't be banable then, it's not fair for someone who ain't even hacking or anything, but just having bad ping be ban for it.

 

Check your ISP, I never experienced backtracking in this server. Even my connection is shitty.
