Server Lag / Downtime (Crash) - Updated 11/08

These crashes not only are annoying but they probably mess up server-side files too , i have lost 2 chars after the last crash (that was 2 days ago) & i cant login , i have tried everything still messed-up , others lost items , i lost CHARS lol.. & important chars too..here is the story: http://forum.gameznetwork.com/showthread.php?p=109803#post109803

there should really be another guy, that could restart server.
Imagine if Carl fell downstairs and break something.
If server crashed nobody would be able to make it run again for a few weeks or even moths.

this server would loose 70% players and some nolifers, that donated would go suicide.

Its actually quite possible that someone could be Brute force attacking the server. That would most certainly Crash it. Does anyone here know what a brute force attack is?

 

this is really sad mahn. i was so ready to play aion today. no interruptions. all the time in the world. i even tied my hair :crying:

 

I trully, highly, doubt it's anything like that. As all the servers are running off the same IP address and would cause every single one of the servers to crash unless they're under different households, which I don't believe is the case. Plus, it would cause more then a crash if it was an attack. They'd wreck the DB, trash everything basically, not just crash us for the lulz.

 

I got to play for like 1 hour, before the Crash......Im really hoping i didn't lose that set i just got of Plate armor.

Well, basically what im saying is when someone trys to initiate the brute force attack, it could possibly mix with the already high server load. And just Crash it. It is possible though that the Infrastructure on the Network programming isn't programmed to handle the load that there getting. SO basically when the computer tries to compensate it crashes. Network Programming is usually half the problem.

I really hope as you say in the first post it will be alleviated soon, it is summer vacation in china so can play all day and night but when vacation is over this is peak time so if this is still problem will have no play time at all

it cant be helped....carl really nid to give an authority to alente so he can restart the server....this is very bad for us players...T_T
