GBG items :/

i was wondering what is the use of Guardian Brigade General items if they can't be bought, i mean why bother putting it in the abyss shop where no one can buy it, is it just for display? i went all the trouble trading just to have those platinum medals(i even traded my set) so that i might have a good set and then it all goes for nothin', im really disappointed

 

Its bugged. They aren't supposed to be in there.

(Elyos) GBG = ABG (asmodian), do you think carl would give GBG/Abg in game when people donate for those? do the math guy.

You should ask to players or even better to AM's in game before trying to get something and check if its available.

GBG/ABG in game its not available [only trading or voting/donating] its just a visual bug.

And thats a good idea, they should remove those sets in game in the next big update.

LOL, is not a visual bug or anything it should be sold from the npc's the problem is that donators are loosing if Carl apply this so. The idea to make them unbuyable is great and is on the same principles as the Seed of Transformation is there but when you try to buy it it say : Some Items are not allowed to be sold by this NPC.

Its a visual bug for Gamez. Since we have ABG items in 1.9 [before retail] and now those npc are selling those items cause retail have ABG now.

 

Could you please tell me the visual bugged thing in it [They are there, they are just not available there's a message which appear when you try to buy]? Cuz I bet you weren't on the test server when they were available to get. Carl just disabled them and put a message : Some items are not allowed to be sold by this NPC> Same as Seed Of Transformation[The deity thing] And also yea we had ABG items in 1.9 so wut ?

Is a protection for loosing money, If I had a server I would do the same

 

GBG should be on elyos.. hope someday all of ABG in ely become GBG so its retail like

 

I was on test server... and as the tittle says "test". And Seeds were disable in 2.1... thats and old story with old reason...

But well anyway, since you don't understand why is a visual bug theres no point to argue...

 

exactly! Donors like us keep the server running smooth. Running a private server is not cheap and it costs money and since your not paying to play the least you could do is help.

 

Most powerful gear in game should be bought with AP+plats

Second best should be donor set. Not the other way around.

 

Its there to tease you.

 

Why would you spend money on something when it's way easier to get something better in-game..

if the best set ingame was able to be bought ingame for plats+ap then what would be the point in donating for the second best set?

ABG in credit shop is the best way for the server to stay alive through donations.

its a visual bug because you cant actually buy the item, its ingame but the item wont be in your inventory.

 

Just to clarify and close this it's not our doing that the items show in the shops, that's a clientside thing from retail where they are sold there. You get an error because the server's settings disagree with your client's.

GBG and ABG are not purchasable ingame for fairly obvious reasons, we're a private server and therefore we lack a subscription-based model to maintain our operating expenses. To counter this we have a donation system where certain items (including ABG) can be purchased.

I understand some would prefer to earn these items ingame but with the many perils of private servers (including the duping of medals) it simply isn't feasible. We tried that back in 1.5/9 when 50 PvP gear was the top and it was abused to hell and back.

While it is possible to get ABG without donations via either ingame trading or voting these options take a bit longer depending on your patience and trading prowess. Having said that I do know of a few players ingame who have several sets of ABG across their characters and have never donated a dime.

This is simply a reality we have to face in order to maintain this server's operation and keep it where you can play and enjoy the game for free, we're being realistic.
