Reasons to play AION?

Except for getting better gear.
The only reason I see is pk/pvp which , imo , is really boring at some point ( zergs are one of the reason ) and I know at least one mmorpg with way better gameplay when it comes to pk/pvp which is not affected so much by ping as it is in AION.
Oh , also , since there's no active guild on asmo side like Reloaded aka Yes Tomorrow was , raiding has never been so lame.
So , why do you play aion?

 

Because of non-standard, non-arena, open world PvP.

If I feel like doing Arena PvP I play League of Legends, but I enjoy both types of PvP, they're totally different.

The community is good in both (exception: aionsource.com forum is full of retards).

 

League of Legends is overrated.. I haven't seen a single Video about it on youtube..
DotA FTW, it's way better and mindgames take place there, whereas in League of Legends the one with better items, wins, Specially a tank.. that's lame -.-

However, Aion is pretty nice, specially cos of the graphic engine and PvP overall, Ofc not everything works here, which means you can't enjoy the game completely. but you don't need to pay here, I guess (Don't start the drama about donators and non donators please, anyone can farm plat medals and get geared up). Whereas in retail gameplay is much better and raiding is fun.. specially when 5000000000 vs. 5000000000 zergs in Abyss fortresses take place, lol
If you don't enjoy pvping (whether its zerging or not) nor gearing up and obtaining fashion items, then Aion is not a game for you, my dear.

@Sidenote: Why don't you start your own legion and raid, then? u.u
