Curious about the future for Gamez Aion.

Is the goal to become 100% retail like? I'm just curious.

Shame really, I only started playing cause of the nice high rates and the chilled people, but it seems that with these updates, people are raging more than they are praising.
I for one am not too happy about the drop rate being so low

But, if I could get a definite answer on the matter of going full retail like, then I guess my mind will go to ease. On that note though, would be awesome if something was done, seeing as MOST people aren't too happy about this whole retail like conversion...

Oh, looky, it's a QQ thread, I honestly don't care if it's labelled that, I was just curious.

Btw, I know that the update has only been up for idk, like, under 24 hours lol.
So yeah, like I said, I was just curious about what the future goal was.

There seems to be no target for projection, however.... there does seem to be a blob-like ideamechanism.

 

Aion is gonna die anyway when GW2, Blade and Soul and TERA come out.

 

Ah fair enough, would be great if it stayed as a 'private server' if you know what I mean... like, what's the point of going retail like, apart from saving $15 a month to play on actual retail?
Plus, it satisfies lazy sods such as myself who gives up after 30 minutes of grinding.

As for GW2, TERA and B&S, of course rofl, but for the meantime, it's the only thing that's keeping me entertained.

It bored the **** out of me, no customization whatsoever... it was banal.

 

The aim it seems is to be retail like,I just left the retail verision of this game for the same reason you started playing.So i guess back to the extra $15.00 amonth becouse this is no better.GREED is the end to all things!

 

Honestly after I saw a TERA video I was like wow that is crap, I'm not paying for that game

 

Proc rate is frigging broken and I wasted all materials I got for month of buying aethers and tapping and buying and crafting heliotrope crystals every frigging day, my abg items for 20pcs of mysterious colored carved fragments. MR is frigging broken, I cant play my cleric.

 

It's becoming Retail like, yes. But that's only because Retail works correctly >> If anything, we'll lower to a Mid rate server, but definitely not a low-rate.

 

i'm waiting for gw2 too. for tera, im curious, especially about it's so-called true action combat system, but from what i read, the game it's not doing too good right now. the devs is tailoring it for 'western' players and release next year.
i wonder will there be private servers for tera as well?

 

drop rate low? i just did taloc's hollow didn't even finished all the way i got 10 different types of GodStones.

drop rate seems fine.

 

I hear that godstones are dropping heaps, but for things like manastones and crappy things like elder (for extracting) it's horrible. Well, at least for me and heaps of people I was talking to in-game...

 

Aion is already dead and has been, by most gamer standards, but people will always continue playing it a bit and especially private servers for that matter, hard to simply kill off all players at a time.

 

i agree with the manastone, i was able to get 2 attack+5 and 1 crit+17 with my run. lol. i didn't notice the other ms.

Im more worried about how they will handle when a DMCA letter comes. Credits shop is also getting very dangerous with p2p memberships and what not.
