slots on weapons and armor

when i see the number of slots in armor/weapons on the broker or on a corpse before looting, the default number of slots is always displayed (ie: 4slots shown on a piece that can have 4-5)...

only when it's in my inventory will it display the correct amount of slots if it has any more than the default minimum

just wondering if this is the same for everyone or if it's just me?

 

the same happend to me... sometimes i see an item in broker, and i dont buy cuz i dont know if its 4 or 5 slots.

 

ah ic so i guess i'm not alone

i guess i'll just go ahead and assume that it's the same for everyone and there's no fix for it until someone else can say otherwise

I think if its ment to have 5 slots all the time, it shows 5 in broker. If its 4 with a chance of a bonus 5th slot. It only shows the 4 slots. I've tested it just with an anuhart breastplate 4 and 5 slotted aswell as a tahabata warhammer (shows 5/5 slots) and a 6 slot mastarius's sword (6 slotted) only shows 5 so its hiding the bonus slot. though it doesn't show manastones/enchant/godstones to me :3

as ashyyy said it only does this on pieces that have a potential for a bonus slot.. so yea stuff like tahabata weapons will always display the correct 5slots.. but items such as anuhart set pieces, beshmundir set pieces, etc. (which can be 4-6 slots) will always display as 4slots on the broker--regardless of how many extra slots it actually may have.

and i don't have the screenshot for this, but last time i checked, same thing occurs on looting mobs as well. ie: hovering over a beshmundir item before looting from the mob will display 4slots. once looted and hovering over it in my inventory, it will show the correct (up to 6) slots that it actually does have. i'd imagine the same thing to occur for any other item that has a chance of a bonus slot as well. hope this helps!

This has been around for quite a long time now, i remember when DP was working properly *to evilset, is DP going to be fixed* i would get 4 slot Anuhart pieces and I would get 5 slot, same with Sematariux you can get 5 slot or 6 slot.
