About Rift Camping

Hello and Good day!

Ok, so as the title says, this is about "Rift Camping". The purpose of making this thread is not just to aim for a decent discussion but also to brag *insert evil emoticon here*.

And no, I am not asking for any flame war here, but if it happens out of nowhere (nowhere???) then feel free to close this thread.

So Rift Camping. Lately, I started to go rifting again (Elyos here by the way) and even I am so hard headed ending up zerged most of the time, I still like to go rifting. I don't know, maybe there's a part of me hoping that I will find a decent PvP when I go to Beluslan. But you know what? I realized, there is nothing bad with hoping as I really find a decent PvP there sometimes. 1v1, 2v1, not bad at all. I die, it's fine with me. And lucky me, I don't end up getting called NOOB in a 5v1 fight when I die

Don't take me wrong, I am not talking about Asmodians campers alone, this is for everyone...

So lately, what I have witnessed with my own eyes (even bothered taking it to the authority) are the Rift Campers. Not to mention their high officer rank D: Elyos and Asmodians does this so I want to know... Why? (Ok Elyos and Asmodian Rift Campers, make a new forum account to be able to reply, so at least there is no humiliation afterwards).

• Why do they camp rifts?

• Don't they know it ruins the PvP? (how can it ruin it more if it's worst D: Who am I kidding right??)

• Are you that desperate to lessen the zerg? Or desperate to get AP? (I think the last one)

• (Most important question) As I said above, I made a report but until now nothing happened... Isn't this against the rules?? Why not??

As a Rift Camper you can answer the questions, if you're not then post whatever you think is the answer. What matters to me most is the last part.

In my opinion this is as well considered Spawm Camping (as the opponent faction waits on the spot where they are expecting you to spawn, and yes it's like target practice as well) but how come no one got jailed on the report I made? Not just my report alone, but the others as well.

Oh! And no, this is not a QQ thread. And to prove you that, this is what I do to CAMPERS!!!!

agreed , should be under the same rule as obelisk camping. cause when you go trough the rift and you end up alone against 10 campers (not saying elyos or asmodians both races do it)
then what's the fun of it.

 

Funny thing is that you killed all the 3 campers. And especially that star officer who got owned so bad from you that i couldnt hold my tongue but to say NOOB!! Why are you star officer good sir if you dont know how to pvp,i mean,the way he got owned from you,it was totally epic,he didnt even hit you,that sorc.. Another pathetic example are the star officers and generals who run around inggison,but if.... IF! you catch them alone they start running. Dont keep that kind of rank if you (you know who you are) are just a noob zerger,just saying. Good one baby,you owned them pretty bad

Zergers in inggison and gelk and campers at the obelisks and the rifts ruin this already ruined pvp even more,shame to them. For those who dont know what im talkin about,just go rifting or go to one of the fortresses that asmodians-elyos own in gelk and inggi,you ll automatically understand what i mean just from the amount of lag that 200 people in 1 fortress give xD.

 

i could post now more then 30-40+ Screenshots where I alone ,or our group (mostly 3-6) get numerously outnumbert by elyoszerg. But it would be a waste of time. Because all this Elyos that zerg everyday in inggison and their names you will never see in descent pvp would only start a flamewar.
the Situation is ridiculos on both sides. When i go from Vorgaltems towards Silentera and i see the asmoZerg sitting at the crossroads waiting for a poor opponent to show up i can only shake my head.

but once you enter inggi its the excact situation there to . you take the Entrance and after Loadscreen you see at least 6-8 red dots on your minimap. And you know for sure, that the rest of the zerg is waiting at the crossroads.

maybe all the asmos on Lumiel should boycot Inggison and heiron for 2 weeks. maybe all the Zergers then notice that they are destroying the game.

 

dont tell me its CAMP or DIE again? lol

sorry but i tried to tell my mates to go 50 meters away from the rift exit just to let u enter and fell free....

Yes! True that! There is no fun when you don't even see any Elyos or Asmodian in Beluslan or Heiron because they can't even pass the rift campers guarding the rift. Insane really. Makes me think, how much AP do they get by ganking 1 or 2 popping Elyos or Asmodian on the rift end =.=

I think I wouldn't stand a chance if the 3 of them ganked me (specially now that Rangers hit random damage with Stunning Shot. Not to mention I died earlier with the said skill). It was a mistake going to me for a 1v1, but it was a great fight for me though >:}

And yes! Zergs, rift camping, Obelisk camping, any other things ruins more the bad PvP in this server >.> There's no word I can use to illustrate how BAD, very BAD the PvP now and yet they tend to make it WORSE =.=

 

I just noticed thanks to you that yea they are from camp or die,you can see camp or die members in most of the rift camping "sessions". Kudos-

 

Yes I heard even in Lumiel zergs are starting to really grow in numbers (grow in numbers? That doesn't make any sense since it's already a zerg LOLOLOL). What more if Siel people will move to Lumiel when the Transfer System gets implemented?? Oh dear Lord, even it's a stigma working server it wouldn't make it hard for people to play and zerg >.>

Yes! Both race does this, and if only you can control all your fellow Asmodians/Elyos and command them to stop what they are doing to spare everyone a good PvP moment.

Sadly, I was the one who is a lot hungry for blood and ate them alive

 

I went past a rift yesterday to look for asmos and its 30 elyos camping it. I looked and said.."Oh..no wonder no asmos are in heiron... welp time to wait on a new rift until asmos come back. Lets go back to sanctum for 6 more mins until it spawns a new rift"

 

so it just became official?

No wonder indeed why I can't see too much Asmodian in Heiron and pushes me so much to go rifting myself but meh... Sometimes I'm not always lucky like awhile ago and end up getting ganked most of the time when rifting. Then when I try to go Gelkmaros, the fortress entrance is full of Asmodians waiting for the Elyos to come out >.> I can't even pass them with my so squishy Sorcerer T_T

No please, this is not about them. It's not just them who camps rifts, even Elyos does and in my opinion, a lot worse than the 3 campers I saw earlier >.>

I myself camp rift exits at Beluslan
reasonther asmo does it (if you can't beat them, join them)
Altho I did make a thread at suggestion section about putting shields on Rift exits to prevent camping
as others suggest put the rift in an unreachable spot which either way is good for me ^^

 

since there is no rule against it, then its fine.

 

Thank you for your honesty. If they wont agree with your suggestion, campers will be lessen if they include Rift Camping on the Spawn Camping/Killing rule which is against the server. I really don't see it different from Obelisk Camping =.=

Which pretty much I am trying to point out in this thread to include it on the server rules.

 

If they put rifts in unreachable spots then it will cause zergs in belu-heiron.. The only solution would be if people stop being dumbasses.

 

or make rift camping an offense and the penalty will be 1 day jail. haha!

 

It's pretty hard or let's say, impossible to implant common sense to people, you know that right?
