What if he got invited to a group where people intentionally abused this & the folk who organized this entire jackshit abuser-project traded him the duped insignias at the end? Since that's the complete story.

Should we punish the person who had zero idea about what's going on?

Although whoever you're talking about didn't dupe, they did take duped insignias. I think depending on the amount he took he should be punished. 4k insignias (completely farm-able should = 3 days?) 300k insignias (Obviously duped) should = 14 days?

At least the account isn't permanently deleted, and has a chance of being recovered. He didn't personally dupe them, so why punish him for a crime he didn't commit?

 

I lol'd how Bella told me I should of warned him when I haven't logged Gamez for like...a week or two.
Also let me re-emphasise, he was not taking part in the "duping" he just received the insignias afterwards which led him to a permanent ban since he was "caught red handedly"

 

do you remember that guy who used speedhack and said something is wrong with his PC ..and he had no idea he used Speedhack? nobody believed him ..actually ..Asanka tried to use Teamviewer on him ...you said Zee didn't know but then GOD every hacker would use this excuse

 

And he found a SpeedBooster at the second check, which can be configured to work as a speedhack.
That's why the ban I gave that guy never got lifted.

In regards to this and your original thread you seem to be well and truly aware of the fact that he went out of his way to abuse this bug intentionally:

That aside just because a bug allows duping does not mean it is classified as bug abuse, if you are illegally creating a massive quantity of items then as far as Carl & I are concerned you are duping your little pants off mister. An overwhelming majority of duping cases are caused by a bug, you don't get to hide behind a lower-tier punishment just because it's convenient.

I refuse to buy the "oh I'm innocent" card when you have multiple stacks of 50,000 insignias proudly displayed in your inventory, that doesn't fly and it never has. Regardless of whether or not you did it yourself or "got them from a friend" or they just happened to fall from the sky and you were utterly baffled when you're blatantly abusing the system to such an extreme you get the hammer to the face. This happens to "normal dupers" and it happened here.

We deleted tens of millions of insignias the other day and yet only one person even considered bringing it to our attention and that was indirectly. The massive zerg of players Carl & I found outside the Crucible didn't match this silence and we were extremely disappointed by it. The fact that Crucible Insignias are usable at all is against better judgment, I for one have always stood against allowing any sort of token gear to be available for this very reason yet we decided to give the server as much trust as we could - nice to see how that went.

Anyone banned from this will not be returning.
