Troy Davis, from gurney, proclaims innocence before execution  | ajc.com

"I'd like to address the MacPhail family. Let you know, despite the situation you are in, I'm not the one who personally killed your son, your father, your brother. I am innocent. The incident that happened that night is not my fault. I did not have a gun. All I can ask ... is that you look deeper into this case so that you really can finally see the truth. I ask my family and friends to continue to fight this fight. For those about to take my life, God have mercy on your souls. And may God bless your souls."

    Troy Davis' last words.

7 out 9 witnesses vouched for his innocence. He died at 11:08 EDT, with his execution stay request denied by the judge.

Welcome to America, where you don't give a shit about what's true anymore.

That disturbs me... why he just said it right before he was about to die.

This is overall a very disturbing article to read... >.<

Thus, why I refused to go into law. Vultures after a paycheck who don't even realize what they are doing.

It was like...they were trying to rush his execution without any concrete evidence.

if what he said is true then that's just so sad. not familiar with the case nor a legal expert but for murder, one may not necesarily had the weapon itself but a suspect is still an accessory to the crime.

justice is a double-edged sword. there can be right or wrong judgements but that doesn't mean we have to abolish the courts or legal system or something. it's not perfect, but i think it's better than nothing. i hear in some parts of the world, suspects don't even get a hearing(e.g. firing squad).

it would be nice to have all the guilty in the world get punished and all innocent set free. actually it would be great to have no crimes at all. but unfortunately that's just an impossible dream.
