Level 9 quest..too, far too hard and tedious..am I missing something?

This quest, is ridiculously painfully annoying the hell out of me ;

First you start the quest from munin...then, you have to walk allllllll the way back to your starting area,
and then talk to a few people on the way back to munin...then I got killed by all those ghosts
ganging up on me as I almost reached him and had to start the walk again from Aidelle Basin.
Now I finally reach him again, start his quest, and the first thing you have to do is defeat 4 guys that
instantaneously start killing you?! I couldn't even kill one of them before they'd all killed me, and
instead of restarting that quest...I have to walk, AGAIN, from Aidelle Basin.

Am I missing something? Is there a shortcut to munin from the basin, is there any way at all
to auto-walk in aion, this is seriously taking so much time and becoming very tedious, especially when
I have absolutely no faith that I can beat those 4, and may end up having to respawn at the basin again?
Should I be buying level 9 armor from somewhere? Even so that'd without killing one I'm not sure I could
kill all 4 before dying with level 9 armor.
Current class is mage if that changes anything.


Anyway, how has anyone else dealt with this, what on earth am I meant to be doing?

 

It's exactly how it's supposed to be on retail: you walk to Munin, then drag your ass back to Urd, then Verdandi, then Skuld, and then Munin again. The fight afterward isn't really hard at all, unless you're a mage (but even so, you can range-shoot them while running away).


It used to be really comfortable doing the quest BACK WHEN WE STILL HAD FREE-FLY IN A ZONE THAT SHOULD HAVE FREE-FLY.

 

when i am doing the quest, i am binding in ishalgen and when its time to go back to the village to get the 1st card i use return..but u need to get the rest 2 cards so u ll do all the way with feets!!

 

well idk about asmo side, but on ely is pretty easy to kill those 4 ones, though on siel would be good to put simple ascension so when you're lvl 9 you just pick a class and you're done no need to do for quest =)

I don't think freefly is possible any longer. 2.6 broke the developer console, so.

Of course, there are always ways around things.

 

You should have capable enough gear by filling up the surveys as you level (check right of your skill bar).As for the run, generally yes it is a pain to do but there are things you can do to ease the work:

*numlock is the auto run function.

*find a soul healer in town or near the outpost by munin, beside them is an obelisk you can bind your soul to. This will be your respawn point and can be found in almost every town/outpost.

*don't stop to kill the ghosts on the way to munin, just run, they'll stop

*once you first go across the bridge into the town from the basin, turn right and go to the edge of the hill. You'll find a flight transporter that will take you to the outpost faster

*if you do surveys you should get lots of heal over time potions, use them well against the quest mobs*if you're a sorc, run as much as you can, they interrupt spells often

*put up any shields you have

I may have missed something but do all of those and I guarantee it'll be 500% easier

If I believe you can fly a bit closer to munin and bind to an on there, kite the mobs for the quest pop your pots and scrolls you got from the survey, if I was able to log in right now I would give you better pots >.< goodluck!

it's not that hard, like the other guy said, bind to the village, then use fly transport atleast "that would save you some time" and you don't have to control your character, then go to munin and talk to him, then use return to go back and talk to the first witch XD. then verdandi second witch, but you need to walk now ofcourse don't use flight when going to verdandi. then walk again going to urd, then to munin, now about the fight! if you find it hard to fight those 4, its quite simple just hit and run, if your range it's better to keep your distance. "those guys are slow i tell you" they can't go near you, use your scrolls to make it easier. IT'S NOT HARD!

Never thought numlock would be a button for anything ,
That flight transport definitely cut the length of travel down to get back,
Had no idea about the survey's, thanks for letting on about that, got myself
a much better weapon through that,
Didn't notice stoneskin skill D; fail,
Also didn't try to kill those ghosts, just failed at trying to run away XD.

Anyway, thanks to all your advice, and with stoneskin, that better weapon
from the survey's, and quick use of root while running the hell backwards xD;,
managed to take them down on my first retry !
Though you can't cast your skills while running backwards (it makes you stop
for the duration of their cast at least), anyway I managed it so cool :3.

And I'll certainly keep the obelisk respawn points on my mind now for the future
*pretends I haven't already died again after that and spawned back at the basin
again because I had forgotten about it*

and yeah .. when youre asmo, you pretty much have to run everywhere just to finish that ascension quest.

flame bolt hits quite hard though ._.

 

Well I've made it to the level 20 stigma quest now.....and was defeated by hellion.
I swear, you would think the developers of this MMORPG would have some recognition
or foresight of the difficulty people might have with a guy spawning right next to you without
any real headsup that it was going to be so immediate, fight strongly with him yet loose,
and then have to travel all the way back......again.
I'm not an impatient person by any means, but having to spend so much time simply walking
to these locations over and over again ; I mean really, it feels like those single player RPG's
where your running speed feels like a light jog and you have no way to transport back or
forth from destinations and they use that to extend the estimated value of hours of gameplay ;
There's better things to do with the average persons time @_@;

Think I might pass on this level 20 quest and just have fun out and about traveling/fighting xD

Well ... while you lvl up, the ascendion q and also stigma Quest at lvl 20, you need to take care ...

I have lvld up every character besides chanter and I tell you it is possible to kill them, but you need to wisely use your HP potion and also try to tun a bit if this gets too "hot" ...

When you "hit" lvl 02 on retail you are pretty muc geared according to the those lvl .... Here, you have your basic lvl 1 items, so it is il it hard ... ut nothing that CAN´T be done with practice ...

Spawn teh fakin npcs in Adelle Village [for asmo] and near the blabla[forgot the name] lake[for ely]...
problem solved... -.-

 

Just bind on the Adelle village/Akarios village, and when you take the quest from Munin/Pernos, use return and get the cards/Get the water thingy ( ), use running scroll and run to the other targets such as the big tree(ely side)/granny(asmo side) ... Easy.
