Should SM stack full MA instead of stacking full MR as there are zergs running around?
    Thanks in regard.

If you play with groups then full MA.
    I'd say MR for solo-play. D;

Or maybe 2k MA and rest MR if you feel strong.

Edit: It could depend on the gear you're using too.. post that.

It's not like M.Res will save u cause u'll resist some spells , it's more like M.Acc will save you because your AOE Fear will land successfully rofl.

Spellcasters don't defend theirselves by resisting/dodging/running away from attacks , they defend theirselves by keeping the opponent away or stunned/silenced/etc. So your offence is your defence.

    Magical Accuracy!

Right now I'm wearing full MR Masta Cloth. But I feel, I don't resist that much even with 2k MR.

So to make it easier. It's better to go 2k MA and rest MR?

It's either kill or be killed, go MA.
It's not like You dodge melee attacks with your MR while Melee's (Temp specially) can just use Aether armor and rape the hell out of you if you don't have at least 2.1k MA to turn them into pesky little spirits.

Im using Full MA set with my SM at the moment and had no trouble with rangers and sins. If you're good at using your spirit that should be enough to successfully defend yourself against them while doing offensive. Stone skin + Spirit Preserve + All absorption scroll = You'll survive enough to kill a ranger or a sin.

Let me tell you. With Magic Resist:

    1) You have no chance of resisting a Sorcerer's spells as Sorcerers get too high M.Accuracy unless you use the contract of resistance and run away until his/her m.acc buffs are down then if he has no m.acc stones and you're lucky you can kill him.

    2) You have no chance of killing a M.Res Cleric , all of your spells have to succeed , and fear has to be first cause they can dispel the debuffs. Chanters with m.res can be really hard too.

    3) You have no chance of killing a M.Res Templar , he gets 3k+ m.res with his 30 second duration buff (aether armor) if he wears chain with m.resist and you can't run away , he has charge and he can pull you back.

    4) You have a highier chance of killing Rangers/Assassins as their godstone procs will be lower and they won't be able to silence you

    5) You will survive from zergs more (that's for many people , if it's just a few , you need m.acc to aoe fear them and go away)

    With Magical Accuracy

    1) You will be able to kill pretty much every class after using fear repeatedly... if you manage to.

    2) You will die easily from zergs

    3) You will die often by rangers and always by assassins i can say as their silence godstone procs will be too high and all of their silences/stuns will land (well good assassins use m.acc stones anyway , so i don't think you'll survive from a good assassin in either ways).

    That's what i believe at least :p
So the decision is up to you. For me , using 2 sets is the best.
You got always M.Resist on so you resist the rangers' surprise silence and damage bursts and the assassins' godstone silence procs and if you see an opponent who's easy to hit (Gladiator , Cleric , Chanter , Templar with no Aether Armor) then u switch to m.acc and fear lol. In 1on1 fights you use m.acc always , against every class except scouts i can say.

As i said above , your Offence is your Defence , if you let others attack you , you die. You rely on your Debuffs/Fears/Silences , you have no spells like Illusion or Blind Leap to use. Also you don't need m.res against other classes because you can resist one spell. If you use that buff at the right time you won't need m.res.

most temps i see latly are already on mr and use aether armor if ur sm and u on mac they'll eat u up and spit u out also i didnt sugest mr " cuz it resist physical attaks" omg do u live under a rock? i wonder if u ever played sm and got anywhere with it.. dosent hurt resisting ranger stun, silence and sleep arrow and sins wont land any runes if ur on mr .. everybody knows this. jaye mac is ur priority so get that first and go full mac dun hold back then after sometime or if u can get another mr gear and switch them as u battle.. it will come in handy.

First off why are you raging at me? O_O And I'm currently playing SM and rarely die from a ranger or a sin or a temp. If played well offense is a good path for an SM. Why are you waiting for a ranger to do the first hit, stun him or turn him into a water spirit that should give you enough time to do the necessary things that needs to be done.

Both if you know what you are doing.

MR: resisting assasins, rangers and gladiators magic attacks is imperitive for success. Same for chanters and clerics.

But if you plan to MR against a sorc? Lmao... then you chose wrong. 90% of them go with MA or just spam buffs (which, mindyou, makes them pretty easy to explode because with buffs alone = poof them and qq moar sorc).

Other spiritmasters will also generally have MA as well.

So if you feel like soloing well, since the generality of gamez isn't a sorc anymore and is moving towards other classes, then try MR on for size.

Another arguement is that most players that use full MR set (glads, rangers, etc) have either miserably low critical strike compared to what they should, or miserably low attack...or both.

Which makes set swapping pretty easy if they do pack that like a moron.

I honestly wouldn't go MR without a full ABG accs set, ABG helm and maybe ABG set itself

Without good gear you just cant get your MR high enough ._. and anyway I'd go with MA on a SM regardless. As Aegis said, more people are using MR every day, which is exactly why MA will be good for you. You're squishy, so if both of you are resisting a lot, who's going to be the first to die do you think? ;p

Better off having MA and being able to hit those critical spells you need imo, than worrying about trying to resist for survival, because it probably won't be enough in several situations anyway.
