This touched my heart, really reminded me about the situations I went through just because of my sexual orientation. It's sad to see another bullied victim go at such a young age.

Sorry, but world IS harsh,i wouldnt blame the bullies if some kid decided to kill himself, why? Because as i said, world is harsh and we have to be strong,if you killed your self then you werent meant to be in such a harsh world in the first place.

Hearing things like this completely saddens me. Hate breeds hate unfortunately and just think how you all are entering into adulthood and will be having families of your own soon, teach your children about tolerance for other people's lifestyles and that hatred, bullying, etc is not acceptable.

    Paws up for Jamey!

well, this is really sad, and true at the same time.
unfortunately there are a lot of bullies in the world and no1 can change them. being a bully is the same as being brainless. thinking superior through brutal force.

Bullying is something that won't be prevented until it is seriously taken and it is acted upon. Words hurt people... many people don't realize the negative effect that words can have on an individual and they don't realize what they're doing to that person until its too late, and some sick people don't feel guilt or remorse what so ever for what they've caused. People are disgusting. Words hurt people. Bullying hurts people and ends lives, there needs to be a prevention. People need to become aware of whats going on in teenager's lives, before its too late for someone else

    Paws up forever!

I cant have sympathy for weak people... though I clap their efforts, its better than just cry in a corner waiting to be saved, this aint a movie, comic or manga.

    I disagree with you, severely.

There is a root to everything, and in this case it is the fact that something beyond their control is being persecuted. It is the exact same thing as say everyone had only one arm but you had two (in a fictional world).

YES YES... before I get some idiot saying "But we all have two, and I have two so I am normal, hah!"

This is an example, an anaology one could say.

But say you had two and everyone else had one arm... you'd be "different", say these people began to hate on you for it... people commited genocide to others like you on other parts of the world, you walked around with it everywhere and everyone could see it no matter what you did. Your family thought you were the anti-christ because of it, perhaps even a devil worshipper, and that you were doomed to an existence of perdition after going through hell during your short time on Earth.

Then you compound it with the peer-pressure, the thought even alone of people seeing you and just maybe they'll snap today and take you out, maybe they'll just end up beating you if your lucky.

Then you have pseudo-churches get together and pray to whom they supposedly believe is god and ask for love, support and dignity... all the meanwhile while getting protesting boards and signs ready and teaching even their 3 year old children who barely know how to speak english to chant messages of hatred and unjust-judgement in a selfrigheous attempt to show their supposed faith in god.

Making friends? More difficult, the stigmatization of your "second arm" is a sign of something they generally will want to stay away from. Even harder to make it right is the fact that most don't even "understand" it. That word being a mockery in this day and age when people can walk, drive cars, and many other abstract concepts; the fact that they cannot "understand" it being a henious misrepresentation of the fact that they "choose to not understand it".

Even science, which may have supposedly attempted, ailed to find even a genetic basis for it making it become a supposed fallacy.... perhaps the demon-worshipping theories were correct they figure?

Overall a life of scrutinty and judgement does exist, people are goddamned awful ****ers.

    The twist?

In homosexuality, "faggotry", and all the other nice names that only compound ontop of the already-stigmitized status of it, you aren't born with it. You 'discover' it later in life... say elementary school, Jr high maybe if you are slow and at the latest I'd imagine highschool....

    This brings up more complications.

-"Why would I want to tell anyone?" -> Life is painful enough, why make it harder and be scapegoated by a mass of uneducated people who are unhappy and selfloathing, but hey... if they can rip a patch of flesh off of you and feed it to their ego... they'll happily do it. Churches who really aren't praying to god, are a great example of these unhappy self-hyped freaks.

Likewise, the option, or mentality, comes up that they could hide it.... hide this curse from the world.

    Issue?

    It is pervasive.

Everyday you wake up with it, it is a passive thing. Sort of like breathing. Breathing isn't something you think about necessarily, but it sure as hell is there.

Always a bit anxious, what if "so and so" finds out? Will they tell everyone? Will they kill me? Is my career ruined? Will my friend still be friends with me or will they leave me too?

Then you have the addition of the family... tell the family? Get it over with? You too often, and its a shame, see people especially family, say "I wish you never told me" or something to that effect. Then it becomes obvious that you are screwed. Kicked out at 18, no financial aid (which is pretty much MANDITORY to survive properly anymore. being 18 and working and supporting oneself is a joke to many people... its nearly impossible. especially in this economy!).

Likewise after all this? All this bullshit piling up? Stress starts to play a toll on people. They will age prematurely, they will have increased bloodpressure, heart changes such as tachycardia or bradycardia... and stress with just plain wear down their body (it does have effects) causing them to get easily sick, etc.

Essentially even their body begins to "hate them".

So now we've revolved from a social issue into financial issues, health issues, even family ("the people you can truly trust") forsaking you....

Oho I haven't even hit the kicker yet. With so few people who are even homosexual as well, very few are "willing to come out of the closet".... and that means? smaller selection pool. And that means? less likely to bump into others. And that means? Less likely to find a partner. And that means?

Even though you are gay, maybe even announced it, you won't get what you desire even.

    You're ****ed everywhich way.

Until you can fully understand this then you have no right to show lack of sympathy.
